I heard about Upromise from our local grocery store. I thought it was too good to be true. I get money back for my son's college education (mind you he's 6 months) without having to change the way I do things.
Of course it was too good to be true. I had to change my spending habits a little. I now check the upromise website before I do any purchases. I buy my gas only at Exxon/Mobil. I make sure that I buy grocery products that give money back. I try to eat at local restuarants that give money back. And I go through the website to make ANY online purchases. I even signed up for their credit card.
By making these changes, I have discovered some really cool restuarants in my neighborhood, new products at my grocery store, and I have earned almost $30 dollars in 3 months. (I just started using the credit card this month. It gives back 1% on EVERY purchase).
My goal is to use Upromise to save about 200 to 300 dollars a year towards my son's college education. That might not be a lot, but it is FREE MONEY!
