Dirt Devil Purpose for pets M140000
We purchased the vacuum about 1 1/2 years ago specifically because it called itself a vacuum for pets. We have a samoyed with a lot of fur. At first it worked perfectly. About a month later the bottom of the canister, the part you use to empty, broke off. We called dirt devil and the part was on back order for 12 weeks. We had to buy another sweeper to use until then. As soon as the canister arrived the roller brush melted onto the side that holds it in place. Dyson Animal DC17 All Floor Vacuum
I have owned the Dyson Animal for over 2 years now. It is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I have two golden retrievers, and they shed ALOT. The Dyson Animal picks up the hair incredible well. Not only is it great for the floors, it also does a fantastic job on the furniture with the attachment that came with it. There is also a stair attachment that I love. Dog hair seems to get stuck in the corner of the stairs but with the long attachment hose and the stair attachment - it is so easy to keep up with it and keep the stairs clean. Kenmore Vacuum Model #116.36933502
This is one of Sear's pricey models. All the bells and whistles. But, I keep hauling the old Oreck out of the garage to do the hard floors and corners. It's got a cool little power head that does a great job on the furniture but even the hose is heavy. I like the light on the end of the wand, now Oreck has added that to theirs too. The metal wand end is sharp and does not push well along corner so you must always pull it along, abbreviating. Oreck XL21 Vacuum
I've had my Oreck XL21 vacuum for almost 8 years now, and it has YET to fail me! With the few exception of the normal broken belt once every 2 or 3 years, that is. I fell in love with this vacuum at the ORECK store when I was able to LITERALLY lift it up with one finger like you see in the commercials. I am very disappointed with this vacuum. I was sold by the "pet hair eraser" idea as I have a cat and a dog who both shed a lot. I will say that this vacuum worked great at first... but it only lasted for about 6 uses. Now it doesn't have any suction at all and it when I try to use it the dust in my house just gets distributed into the air. I have taken it completely apart, cleaned it out, and put it back together, and it still doesn't suck at all. Does any company make a vacuum that really lasts??
