Untraceable Review Summary
Looking for an “edge of your seat awesome thriller”? Some of our reviewers say that Untraceable starring Diane Lane fits the bill, others weren’t quite as impressed. Those who liked it, however felt it had “a great plot”, and was a definite “psychological thriller”. One reviewer says that Untraceable was “like SAW movies meets the internet.” Some people that didn’t like Untraceable felt that it was “90 minutes of torture”, full of “far-fetched ideas” and a “formula film”.
mother of 14 year old boy, Internet User, Movie Reviewer, a believer of fate
My 14 year old son is a fan of slasher films, though they scare the snot out of him, usually making him afraid to go to bed at night. I was telling him how different psychological thrillers can be, and how without all that strictly blood and guts stuff, sometimes it can be even scarier when it messes with your mind. He wasn't sure exactly what I was talking about, but halfway through Untraceable, he looked at me with true fear in his eyes and whispered, "So that's what a psychological thriller is." — — In Untraceable, Diane Lane stars as a special F.B.I. agent who works only with…

an infrequent movie goer, into action flicks, waiting for the DVD
I had never heard of this movie before I rented it. I am a big fan of horror & suspense movies like Saw, Silence of the Lambs, etc. This movie really fits into these categories and has you on the edge of your seat. — The movie is about a very disturbed, but highly intelligent individual that has a website that shows actual murders of people. When viewers log into the site, they actually assist in the murder by making the victim die faster. The more viewers, the faster the victim dies. It's a sad world out there, because lots of people log in to view a…

into action flicks
I am definately into thrillers, but not so much bloody horror movies, and I thought it was just right for the story line. The plot was disturbing because it was of all the freaks out there and what can be done with cmputers today. I really like the message also-we're able watch terrible things online without realizing that the video could be hurtful to others. When the man refused to kill the child, I was even more creeped out by the whole idea because the man was obviously sane (not just a killing machine), and had methodically…

a movie buff
While this is a new premise and the acting good, I wish I gone with my instincts and chosen a different movie to see. If you are in to torture, then this flick is for you! It wasn't the worst I've seen but it didn't leave me on an up note. I always wonder what the movie makers are thinking when they give sicko's ideas that they may not have thought of. I'm not sure if there is a possibility of being completely untraceable. I sure hope not. — —…

into action flicks
This movie is one of the best action flicks I've seen lately. It's got a great plot - a little gruesome here and there, but it had an extreme new version of serial killing !!!!!! I liked how they brought it all together toward the end. I don't think it was advertised well enough - I almost missed it because I hadn't seen the trailer for it - should have been #1 for the weekend box office !! …

an infrequent movie goer
Movie was great..... had you flinching. Hannibal Lector in a whole new way. Almost had you sympathetic to the killer but lots of blood and gore. Actually had a great story line as gory movies usually tend to neglect the story and focus on blood, this has the best of…

an infrequent movie goer
Starts off as a interesting cyber crime movie, but eventually it becomes a SAW movie with gruesome torture scenes. Interesting premise, but the gratuitous scenes take away from the clever story. — — Diane Lane is good, but the only star I recognized. —…
