If you are self-motivated, the University of Phoenix online is a great way to finish up your education. Classes are five weeks long so the pace really moves quickly. Most students take one class at a time with a week break in between each class. During my time at UoP, I doubled up on classes, staggering them so I did not have the final weeks at the same time.

One caution however is that UoP utilizes a team concept that comprises about 30% of your grade. In many classes, I found that some members were more than willing to sit back and let others do all the work. As there is only one grade given for team projects regardless of who does what, that can be frustrating.

UoP does have ground campuses in many cities across the country and the cost is much lower than their online classes. If you are able to attend a ground campus, you might consider doing so in order to save money.

I would just like to say that this school is far from the only school that forces their students to do group work. I can say that from at least middle school to college (which I was physically in) I did group work multiple times in each class in which I was usually the one who did the majority of the workload.

As a UOP Online graduate with an MSN, I must agree that there was always at least one slacker on every team. There were also those who just didn't have the brainpower and/or skills to produce graduate level work. I was constantly editing group papers and projects, just to protect my own grade. It gets to be exhausting.

Thank you for your review. I have been contemplating going back to school and doing online uofp, but with your statement that if one person does the work and let others sit back, then I see the point. Thank you for your review. I think that I would rather do the ground campuses.
