University of Phoenix - Online Campus —

I went to University of Phoenix to obtain my Masters in Education, which I did. I found the school to be very convenient, as I was not able to take the time to drive to and from a real campus. After I began the program I was able to continue even though I became pregnant. I took a short break when I had the baby, and because everything was online, was still able to finish the program basically on time. The cost is much more than a traditional university, but the convenience made it worth it to me. I did not like the "learning teams." Typically I would volunteer to do all the work so I could get it done early in the week. The great thing about online learning is being able to do work when it's most convenient for you. Having to function in a team takes away a lot of that convenience. Also, I feel that at a graduate level, students should be allowed to just do their own work and not prove they can work in a team atmosphere. I understand the philosophy behind teams, but I found them to be ineffective.
