I decided that the online experience was what was for me when I moved out here to help my ailing father.  I was going to work part-time so that I could do my classes during the day and help my father while my step-mother worked during the day.  Once the phone calls from UoP started they just wouldn't stop!!!! And then come to find out, UoP didn't have what I needed so I had to go thru Axia to begin my associates degree in business which isn't what I wanted in the first place.  I wanted an AA in education which UoP doesn't have and that's why I had to go that route.  So I went ahead and signed up - after being HOUNDED by the enrollment counselor - got my financial aide situated and signed into the student website.  Well, my enrollment counselor didn't give me a proper "walk thru class" and consequently, I failed my first two courses because I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing!!!  Fortunately my financial counsellor realized it was an Axia mistake and I wasn't charged for the classes out of pocket.  The teachers are robotic and are more like proctors instead of real teachers.  Only one or two of them actually ever participated in the classroom discussion and one actually refused to give the correct answers to an assignment claiming students have a tendency to pass them along to the next group of upcoming students, and how anybody is able to do that is beyond me!!  Another refused to offer some lenience with a late penalty when I was in the hospital with my now very ill father and was not at a computer for three days.  The Axia server tends to be inconsistant, and according to their policy, server issues are not a valid excuse for late assignments; which means to me they don't want to take responsibility for it being their fault your assignment is late.

I rate this school as extremely poor and I will not continue my education with Axia or the University of Phoenix and I find it a bit telling that the list of cons from the review of UoP is much, much longer than the pros.....

I am sorry you have had such a bad experience. My experience has been the complete opposite, all of my teachers have been very helpful and i have not had any problems at all, and i am getting my bachelors in education, i started just two months after you posted this, so maybe they added it after the fact. I also received my financial aid very quickly and i have had the same counselors since starting.

I have had very positive experiences at Axia college. I graduate in about a month and enrolling here was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Great for working adults!

I am just about ready to graduate with my degree and I could not be happier. The staff has been very helpful whenever I have needed it. The quality of education compares very well to what you would get at other colleges. I would highly reccommend it
