After recently moving here from Chicago, and attending private school from Pre-school to Sophomore year of college in Illinois, I was nervous about University of North Texas. A much larger campus than i was used to, a bit less personal, but UNT has a lot to offer students from different backgrounds, personalities, and fields. I am currently a Public Relations major in the Journalism department, a senior, and I couldn't be happier with my experience at UNT. I lived at College Inn, which in particular I wouldn't recommend, but the on-campus activities and student organizations made it easy to forget I was on a large campus.
The teachers I have come across have been more than helpful, and as a recently announced "School of Journalism," the credentials of UNT have been overlooked by many, quickly chalked up as a "local" school.
University of North Texas has been a fulfilling experience, living both on and off campus, freshmen through senior classes and activities are abundant. I would have to say it is a beautiful campus with a lot to offer a diverse group.
