I loved the University of Missouri-Columbia for several reasons. First, my family members all went to that school, so the family pride interested me. I also wanted to become a part of the sorority system and it is really great at Mizzou. Mizzou also granted me a full-ride singing scholarship and a scholarship called "Chancellor's Leadership Class." Because of my grades, I was allowed to deduct 20 percent off of my tuition each semester. I wanted to major in journalism, and, at the time, Mizzou was ranked the number 1 school of journalism in the country. I received first-hand experience as a television news anchor because the school owns an NBC station (not a college campus station) and student's have to audition for anchor positions.
When I graduated and decided to go to law school, I had already been accepted into many other law schools. On the day of my graduation, I was accepted into Mizzou's school of law. I would not have gone anywhere else. The facilities were superb and the professors and deans great. I actually got a job working for a dean during my last year of law school and that helped me land a job when I graduated.
