University of Michigan-Ann Arbor —

The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor offers stellar chances for creating a solid academic foundation in a myriad of departments, with leading programs in law, medicine and Classics. The campus is a venue for national conferences and international speakers, allowing students a broad range of opportunities, in addition to the many study abroad programs that it funds.

In addition to the college's many academic advantages, the campus is also relatively attractive, as it sprawls throughout downtown Ann Arbor. Beautiful conference centers offset the the many athletic complexes that the university boasts.

U of M-Ann Arbor also tends to the needs of a culturally diverse student body, and encourages the exploration of these various cultures through community and extra-curricular events.

While the University of Michigan-Flint is rather costly, its benefits to the average baccalaureate student do indeed outweigh the price tag that attendance and admission tend to demand. Graduate programs may be more worth a look, as fellowships and stipends are much more plentiful. Also, the lively night life on campus can also be distracting, due to the central location of the campus, but negatives associated with such partying and indulgence tend to rest with individual student choices rather than being indicative of an epidemic of irresponsibility. Overall Ann Arbor would be an ideal academic as well as social setting for one's education and career planning.
