UofM is a wonderful college w/ a fanastic research department...

a serious student, serious student, a good test taker, paying for school, into school rank, caring about sports, into the social scene

Pros

Great football team, preparation for Master's degree, wonderful research department, Great Education, many scholarships available, Great Public institution, Has experts in all major fields, A lot of financial aid available, A lot of student support available

Cons

Large class size, High cost of tuition, High cost of living

University of Michigan is a wonderful college that is highly respected by people all over the world. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to this University, it also has two other campus sites in Flint and Dearborn, Michigan which offer smaller class sizes, different types of study programs, cheaper classes, and less of the social scene, without losing the pride that one gets from going to UofM.
