Sure, it's a beautiful campus and only 45 minutes from a ski resort. And Boulder is known as 25 square miles surrounded by reality... which pretty much sums it up. But it is possible to get a decent education at the University of Colorado at Boulder without falling prey to the "party school" atmosphere, or becoming a hippy and dropping out to join Naropa, a Buddhist-inspired, accredited university that just might offer "BasketWeaving" as a course. Just be smart about what classes you're taking, and if you are there to get an education, keep that in mind before you let your weekend start on Tuesday....

Great aerospace engineering program.

I was one of the first students to go through the new aerospace engineering program starting in 1996. The approach was to have more hands on experience. Most of my classes were in a lab and definitely involved more hands on time instead of just sitting in lectures.
