UnitedHealthCare Review Summary

A large insurance operation, United Health Care has been insuring families against losses from health issues for decades and reviewers like this health insurer for always being there when they need them. More specifically, reviewers like United Health Care for its accessibility and for its processing of claims accurately and fairly. United Health Care “Is really a Great Insurance Company for a Family” and “They Cover a Lot”, according to some reviewers. But like any insurance company, there are those whose opinions are exactly the opposite and these negative opinions point out problems with claims and approval for coverage among United Health Care’s weakenesses. Add everything together and United Health Care winds up about in the middle of the pack among Health Insurance Companies.

Insurance companies are easy prey to being hated.  I don't want to jump on the bandwagon.  However, I think United Healthcare could deserve it.

United Healthcare refused to pay my doctor because there was a problem and the doctor was not able to bill them until just past 90 days.  United Healthcare claimed that was too old and refused to pay.  In contrast, the doctor tells me that Medicare allows them to bill for up to 1 year, which is more reasonable.

After that, I talked with my doctor about United Healthcare and got an earful.  It seems that the doctor's office has to call because United...

United Health care insurance is provided through AARP and we cancelled our insurance and have gone to Blue Cross & Blue Shield.  Every year United Health care increases your premium and with the Prescription Part D they would also raise the co pay you had to pay with your prescription.  Personnally, I do not believe any insurance company should endorse any government bills and AARP did endorse the Health Care Bill.  This was so upsetting to me that we cancelled our insurance and now use Blue Cross & Blue Shield.  This whole health care reform is a big joke as far as I'm concerned.  We do need...

United Healthcare is a complete rip-off. They will do anything to avoid paying a claim and their "customer service" reps are incredibly rude. Avoid this company like the plague!
