The Uniden 5.8GHZ cordless phone is a waste of money. I purchased the phone which came with an extra handset a few years ago. I believe I paid $50 + for the set at Walmart. The biggest complaint I have is the incredibly poor reception range. The main base was on the kitchen wall. The kitchen is located in roughly the center of my house. I don't live in a large house by any means. The house is a raised ranch. I couldn't even make it to the garage without losing reception. I tried reading the manual and switching channels on the phone by nothing worked. It is an incredibly poor product for the amount of money you spend for it. The other features worked fine. Caller ID showed up clearly and held alot of previous calls in it's memory. A nice feauture was being able to program specific ringtones to specific phone numbers. It also had a button on the main base that you can press to make the handsets beep so you can find them if you misplaced them. Bottom line: The product isn't worth the money it costs by a longshot.
