Pros

only one jack needed, reasonable price, intercom feature is a plus, base with multiple handsets

PRICE:
The price is usually pretty fair for what you get, if you shop around.

QUALITY:
The quality of sound on these phones is good, as long as you are in range. If you go out of range, it's spotty.  The range isn't nearly as far as they say. When they say X feet, they mean in an open field, with good weather. They don't mean through brick walls, tiled bathrooms, etc.
My base unit is in the kitchen, and in the 3rd bedroom down the hall, the phone sometimes won't hang up on a call, it beeps and says out of range.

FEATURES:
Intercom feature is excellent, and is as easy as using an intercom and talking on the phone. What I think is stupid is the number of buttons you have to push to redial a number.
The phone is well lit and easy to read in the dark. Volume control is great, goes as loud as anyone could need it, and quiet enough too. If its not loud enough, there's a speaker phone feature.  The menus are easy to navigate and have almost every feature I was looking for.

You can check messages from the base unit, on any handset. I'd recommend this phone to anyone who has a medium sized house. It's just a bit underpar for my house, which has 2500+ SF.
