First, this toothpaste tastes great and leaves your mouth feeling like you've just had them professionally cleaned. I love that feeling!  The only reason this product doesn't get 5 stars  is the price - very expensive for toothpaste.  But as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures - so here's why I wanted to tell you about Thieves Dentarome Toothpaste with Xylitol:

My husband has suffered from canker sores his entire life. It wasn't until I met him that I understood how horrible these things can be. When they would flare up, the pain was unbearable and often he couldn't drink, eat or even speak. The timing of each bout varied from days to weeks at a time, with some sores healing while others appeared throughout his mouth and throat. He was desperate to find a cure or at least the cause of the flare ups. And over the years he tried everything recommended.

So when his dentist told him that several reports found that sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a potential cause of canker sores and suggested that he use an SLS-free toothpaste, we were on it. Any idea how hard it is to find an SLS-free toothpaste? I sat in the floor of the drug stores reading ingredient labels, and finally found that Rembrandt makes one, a special canker sore toothpaste. He used it exclusively for the next 2 years and had significantly fewer canker sore episodes. Then, without warning, this special one of a kind Rembrandt toothpaste disappeared from the shelves. We searched everywhere with absolutely no luck at all.

I remembered that my massage therapist had mentioned Young Living's Thieves essential oils products and how effective they are at supporting our immune system. So when the Rembrandt disappeared, I asked her if there is a Thieves toothpaste. To make a long story short: they did, I bought it, and he is sold on this toothpaste.

My husband has been using Thieves Dentarome Toothpaste with Xylitol for about 5 months now. If anyone asked me, I would report that he is cured.  He hasn't complained to me or been in any obvious pain.  But just to be sure, before writing this, I asked him his opinion.  He loves the toothpaste, says he loves the taste and that his mouth feels cleaner than with any other toothpaste he's tried (including the Rembrandt). He also told me he still gets the canker sores periodically, but they are very mild and not the painful experience he is accomstomed to.  He remains skeptical that anything is going to be the 100% cure.  And after so many years, I guess that's to be expected.  Then as he closed his tale of how he's thought things worked before, he made it clear that he is sticking with Thieves Dentarome Toothpaste with Xylitol from now on.

And by the way, you'd be surprised how long you can make a tube of toothpaste last when you're paying top dollar for it!

Oh, yeah, I'm trying this! I get horrible canker sores (My doctor and my dentist both said that stress can cause them. I'm thinking it's all the hard candy I eat!), at times a mouthful of them. Thanks, Kaycie!!!

Sounds like a good product to know about. I don't have that problem but now I know what to get if I do. :>
