The ease of taking it off and on is easy, the part where it snaps at back of the crib is a little tough for me as I'm 5'. I like the idea of just having this as a topper and not having to change the crib sheet again & again. the elastic snaps are easy to snap on and take out. I think even having velcro might have been a good option. The top layer is just cotton, the second layer is some absorbent material and the comes the plastic sheet that prevents any leaks. It works well and helps the mattress to stay nice and dry. Though I wish it also came with some prints or color or some kind of design element as white becomes too boring after a while.

comfy and durable!

This has been a very good crib sheet, comfy and durable. I had these crib sheets for a long time and they still hold up fine even though i washed them numerous times. Used it for my son who is now 3y and now using it for my daughter with no problems.

No more fumbling with a mattress at 2 am!

I hate fumbling with the crib mattress at 2 am! This makes those situations a SNAP! It's easy to take off or put on! I highly recommend getting two of these as well... wash both and put them in rotation. And you can still have your pretty crib sheets, they just won't get dirty!

Such a great idea

These sheets are a must have!  They snap on over the top of the crib mattress, allowing for quick and easy changes. More importantly, they will fit right over the top of a traditional crib sheet, and they have a plastic barrier on the bottom.   So if you child has an accident during the night, instead of fumbling around with the nortoriously difficult to change crib sheet, you can just snap off this Ultimate Crib sheet and have your baby sleep on the layer underneath!

I don't really think it's that great.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about on this ultimate crib sheet.  I think it is just as easy to put a mattress pad and a sheet on the mattress and put the mattress in the crib.  I have a method where I can take the mattress out and put it back into the crib without actually removing the bumper, so I really don't think it's that bad.  Plus, i flip the mattress occassionaly so it will last longer. I also don't think this crib sheet looks very nice.  It is plain white and not cute in any way.  Also, it is just on top of the mattress, so the sides of your mattress are sticking out.  You can fix this by putting a sheet on the mattress on underneath, but doesn't that kind of take away the entire purpose of this ultimate crib sheet??  The snaps on this sheet come off easily in the wash, so be extra careful to put those back on right away.  I've already lost one snap.  If I lose anymore, this crib sheet will become completely useless. Oh, I also don't enjoy snapping all the straps around my crib.  It's a pain.

The Ultimate Crib Sheet was a bust in our house

This was another item that I bought on the recommendation of others, and ended up not really liking.  I either bought the wrong item, or they changed the design, because one of my friends, whose opinion I trust a great deal, LOVED hers, but I thought it wasn't all that. The coverage in the crib is great - it covered the entire mattress with a waterproof pad and a soft cottony cover.  Much better than any sheet saver, especially if you have a baby that likes to wiggle around the crib like mine does.  But other than the size, and the obvious quality materials used to make the sheet, I can't recommend it.  The functionality of the system of straps and snaps is very poor, so much so as to render it near useless. It's very important not to have loose, soft items in a crib as they present a suffocation hazzard, so things like sheetsavers and pads have to be attached to the sides of the crib.  The Ultimate Crib sheet I have attaches to the spindles of the crib via elastic straps that snap onto the sheet itself.  Every single one of the eight or so straps has to be unsnapped before the sheet can be removed for washing.  And then you have to resnap every single one of the eight or so snaps when you replace the ultimate crib sheet.  Granted, this is slightly easier than changing the entire crib sheet.  And anyone who has changed a crib sheet knows how difficut that can be, usually requiring the mattress to be removed from the crib.  Both are a hassle to change with the crib bumpers in place as well. Maybe it's just me, but it seems there has to be a better way to do this.

an essential baby product

I'd recommend adding the Ultimate Crib Sheet to every baby registry.  It's a great way to protect your crib mattress and guard against middle-of-the-night "blow-outs."  Without the ultimate crib sheet, you're forced to take the baby out of the crib, definitely wake them up, and go through the whole palaver of lifting out the mattress and changing the sheet.  There goes any hope of getting sleep!  With the Ultimate Crib Sheet, you just snap it over top of your mattress, and if your baby has a middle of the night accident (and they will), you just snap out the sheet and put the baby back, and it all takes about 30 seconds.  The sheets are easy to wash (we own two so we just rotate between them, but you really only need one).  My only complaint is that if you have a wide-slatted crib, the elastic on the snaps is just barely long enough to reach around the slats.  Other than that, this is one of those relatively inexpensive baby essentials!

Easy and effective product.

We bought these to help save work on washing sheets in case our baby leaked out of his diapers. Well, we never seemed to really need it for that. But, our son has severe reflex, and so we ended up having to deal with him spitting up all over the sheets, all the time. It didn't take us long to realize that this product would work for that, too. So, we installed them to help with that. It worked, wonderfully. They are easy to tie on (just as easy as crib bumpers), and easy to remove. And, since they tie basically anywhere, you can tie them on like we did--where we need them.  They soak up spit up fairly well, and they don't leak through. So, they do save the sheets. Then, you can simply untie and wash, instead of having to remove bumpers and deal with the sheets. They really are a time saver. I would recommend buying two (pretty much get two of anything when it comes to babies). That way, when you have to wash one, you can put a second one on and put baby to sleep while the first one washes. You always want a back up.

Good for late night bedding changes.

We received two of these as gifts when our son was born and they made life convenient for a short period of time...once we figured out to attach them.  I don't know if our crib is laid out funny or what, but my husband and I had a hard time figuring out how to attach them properly the first time we put one on.  After that, it wasn't hard to put on and did make the 3 am bedding changes easier when we were fumbling around in the dark.  The only reason I did not give them five stars is because we found after a few months that our son wasn't spitting up or having leaky diapers frequently enough to keep using them.  We always placed one of the flannel sheets underneath this crib sheet and we eventually decided to forego the Ultimate Sheet on top.  Our son is now two and the only time I have used the Ultimate Sheet is when he had a case of the stomach flu last winter.  I will say that they were VERY convenient then.

Can save time and hassles

We have a baby who has severe reflux. It has been a trying first 6 months of his life because he is constantly spitting up, at all hours of the day. These spit ups aren't small, either. It can get pretty nasty. One thing we were always doing was washing sheets because he was spitting up in the middle of the night. Well, the Ultimate Crib Sheet has drastically reduced our laundering the sheets! First, I should note this did not fit the length of the crib. Perhaps it could have, if we really stretched it out, but I was afraid of everything coming undone during the night and hurting my child. This was, at first, disappointing.  However, we really only needed it for his spitting up. He wears cloth diapers, which have never leaked at night, so having something for that wasn't necessary. Because we only needed it for his head area, we decided to turn it around and lay it across the shorter, width of the crib. We tied it--and it fit perfectly. Now, at night, we put his head on the crib sheet saver (which goes on top of the sheet), and if he spits up, he does so on this. In the morning, we can remove the crib sheet saver and wash that, instead of having strip the sheets every single morning.  They've served us well! Although, Baby is moving quite a bit more in his sleep, now, but it has made things a lot easier for us. I'm sure it could be used in the same way for diaper leaks. And, I wonder if putting two of these down, side-by-side, instead of one, might work? Worth a try!
