Ulta Smokey Eyes Automatic Eye Liner Smoke Review

I like to line my eyes to give them some punch.  I love the Ulta eye liner pencils. I also love it when they give away free stuff with purchase.  Last time I was there I was nearly out of black eye liner.  Unfortunately they were out of the black eyeliner pencils, they were giving a way a nice freebie so I wanted to buy something, but I did not want to buy something I didn't need so I asked the sales girl there if they had any more black eye liner pencils in stock, she said no but I could try the Smokey Eyes pencil. 

She told me that it was pretty much just like the regular eye liner pencil but also has a little brush on the other side that you could use to spread the liner out to get that smokey affect, but she said you don't have to do that if you don't want to you could just use it as an eye liner.  That sounded reasonable to me so I got it. 

I believe the price was $7.99.  I have pretty much already explained it.  The Eyeliner side has a big lid that covers it and the brush side has a little plastic lid cover the little brush on the other side.  I found that little lid hard to get off. I have not put it back on since.

The eye liner is much like the Ulta Eye liner which is a nice silky eye liner that goes on nicely and neatly with out pulling at my skin. It spreads on easily.  The smokey eye, eye liner is a very tiny bit finer.  So it draws a nice fine line on your lash lines.  You can leave it like that if you like or you can use the little brush to make it smokey.  If you want the smokey look you just take the brush and lightly swish the brush up a bit and out towards the outer part of the eye lid. It makes a nice effect and you can spread it a little or a lot depending on the look you are going for. 

I eally didn't expect to do the whole smokey thing but I have to admit I kind of like it.  I just do it a little bit so I don't have that full blown smokey look but it looks nice and soft, and it really looks great when I add mascara. 

Ulta Smokey Eyes eyeliner is a nice little eyeliner weather you want smokey eyes or not.  I like mine a lot and do recommend it.
