Ulta Oil Control Foundation Review

This product in a nutshell: is an excellent long-wearing foundation that provides medium coverage and a clean, healthy finish to my skin!  This is a stand-out product from Ulta's own cosmetics line.

I wear make-up everyday.  Sometimes I do a full-face look, but I never leave the house without something covering my skin.  And my skin has its issues, believe me!  I have combination skin that's prone to redness from acne and/or rosacea, along with a T-zone that's so oily you can dip french bread into it! 

An Ulta store opened up around the corner from me just this year, and I am simply smitten with this cosmetics/haircare retailer!  It is like a poor man's (or woman's?) Sephora, and Ulta's brand of cosmetics is very affordable and chock-full of stand-out products!  Ulta Oil Control Foundation in Light 01 is NO EXCEPTION!  This super-concentrated foundation works almost like a serum in that it has a thicker consistency than most liquid foundations, while making my skin appear smoother, brighter, even-toned, and healthy.

After my morning skincare routine, I shake the bottle a few times and squirt about 2 pumps into my palm.  With my middle finger, I place a dot of base on my forehead, each cheek, nose, chin, and neck.  With a dampened cosmetics sponge, I blend the product in a downward motion.  Blend, blend, blend until no streaks are visible.  Since this foundation has a more matte, powdery finish to it, be sure to do this kinda quickly or the streaks will dry right where they are.  The end result is is very impressive.  The redness is reduced dramatically, my nose isn't oily, and my overall complexion is smooth and even-toned.  Combine that with the fact that Ulta Oil Free Foundation has SPF 15 and I might have a signature go-to foundation for life!

I give this product 5/5 stars because: it doesn't make me break out and is lightweight.  I don't even feel like I'm wearing make-up at all.  I'd recommend this product to any gal who has some imperfections to downplay or an oily compexion.
