Quick View: In this age of fashion being cute how in the world did Uggs ever get to be so popular? Well, they are comfortable, durable, and can be worn year round. They temperature adjust to your feet to keep them at an even temperature in snow and in sun. These boots are ugly. I can't lie. But I find myself wearing my three pairs more than any other pairs of boots I have.

About Ugg - Australia Classic Short For Women

These aren't just sheepskin winter boots at all. You will see others that look the same but they don't work the same way. These boots were actually first made for surfers and boaters who came out of the water and wanted a warm pair of boots to slip into. They suddenly went from functional to fashion when everyone started wearing them year round. I have the purple, cornflower blue, and sand pair and each is amazingly comfortable. These are made to be worn without socks. You will totally ruin the effect if you wear socks but go ahead if you must. From my experience, Uggs run large. You want a pair that you can mold to your feet. I usually wear a size 8 but, in Uggs, I take a size 7. You can wear them larger but the real comfort is when they fit exactly and then mold to your feet like a glove.

The Facts:

Exude confidence and style with every step you take in UGG Australia's Classic Short Boot. UGG Australia sheepskin keeps bare feet comfy in temperatures as low as -30°F to as high as 80°F. A moisture-wicking sheepskin sockliner promotes comfortable wear. This style is designed to be worn barefoot to maximize the benefits of the sheepskin. Fit should be snug, but not uncomfortable. Fleece footbed will form to each foot individually. Molded EVA outsole. 8" boot shaft.

My Uggs have held up just fine to the New York winters and summers. I rarely wear them in hot weather but could comfortably. They have a soft luxurious lining that feels slipper soft. The outer part is is soft, quality suede. The boots have a rubber sole so they are nonslip in any weather. I wear mine with the shaft up but some wear them with the shaft cuffed. Either way, they are comfortable, cozy, and never make my feet sweat. I like that I can go from freezing temperatures to indoors and not be overheated. Don't be fooled. Uggs are the only boots that have this feature of being able to keep feet comfortable in any temperature. Others LOOK like Uggs but are made just for winter and are not made at all the same. I tried to cut corners once and was sorry. Uggs are worth the cost.

My Viewpoint

These are so ugly, they're cute. I wear them with my jeans tucked in or under boot cut jeans. I definitely urge you to try them on before buying because the sizing is crucial. As I said, I went to a size 7, a whole size down and they fit beautifully. If you are a half size, go down a size rather than up. Some sites actually have you send in your foot measurements and will send you the size you need. When you get Uggs that fit right, you'll wear them all the time. Just waterproof them once and you're good to go. I love all mine and plan to pick up a pair of black ones (although the red caught my eye too). They come in neutral colors, pastels, and deeper colors for all tastes. They are costly but worth every penny. They will last for years. 5 stars for the ugly boots that I love.

I'm a guy; I want some Uggs. Never heard of them before. But I did find Crocs; I really like them--so comfortable. Since my first pair, haven't worn anything else. Now, Uggs, here I come.

Maybe that explains the fuzzy boot craze. They're comfortable but super ugly. Good review.

Everyone knows Uggs. I have Crocs too and know they are ugly but wear em anyway. Uggs are cuter than Crocs I think. And more comfortable.
