The Quickfire is a fun phone, I enjoyed texting on it and checking emails.  However I owned the phone for the two months and began experiencing problems with it.  My phone would not charge up past a forth of a charge.  When I took it back to the store I was told the phone was recalled because it did not meet standards.  Don't pay for this pricey phone! It has been recalled!!!

My husband and I did not do a lot of research on cellphones before we bought this phone. We just went and looked at phones and picked it out when we were there. Sadly, we did not think to really test out the phone while there too. We have learned our lesson. This phone looks good on display but it is not good for anything else. It has a large touch screen. Sounds good right? Yes, but too bad for this phone, the touch screen is terrible. It is hard to scroll down the address book. It is even hard to try and choose the correct person that you want to call. There were a few times when I accidentally picked the wrong person to call. I do wonder if the touch screen was not made for people with skinny fingers. I would like to think mine are average sized but the way how this phone makes it so hard to navigate when using the touch screen, I cannot help but think that the problem is me and not the phone because who in their right mind would make a phone with a bad touch screen like this phone. The phone is on the thick side too because of the full Qwerty keypad. It is not that comfortable to use. My fingers started to hurt a bit after texting too much. I have not encountered this problem with phones that have the Qwerty keypad on the touch screen. The battery life is good. My husband has had his phone for about two years now and he hasn't complained about it until this month. Picture quality is only okay. Once again, I have seen better.

This phone is not worth buying. I bought it when it was brand new and after 3 months I was sent a replacement because the phone died. 6 months later I had more problems with the phone. Finally, I called Att to complain and the phone was discontinued because the phone would set on fire and to make matters worse I was never told. Currently you can not buy the phone new but Att is still selling the phone used. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!! It will set on fire.

My sister and I both bought this phone around the same time.  I am not terribly picky about my phones, but I do need them to respond when I want them to.  The touchscreen most of the time does not work, or presses the wrong button from what I am trying to get to.  It gets very frustrating and makes sending texts difficult, and calling the wrong number a regular occurrence, since even when I press the correct contact it might start calling someone completely different!

The ***AT&T Quickfire* 3G *Handset* **(made by UTStarcom and distributed by PCD) serves up a capacitive touch screen, similar to the one used on the *Apple iPhone* and the *T-Mobile G1*.  In addition, the sliding handset ships with a full QWERTY keyboard idea for texting, e-mailing, surfing the Internet, or performing Instant message functions.  The ***AT&T Quickfire* 3G *Handset*** ships with a plethora of useful features including a 1.3 megapixel camera, micro-SD media card slot, 500-entry address book, a full HTML Polaris browser, and MP3 player.  In addition, the unit ships with stereo Bluetooth, mobile e-mail, instant-messenger support, and A-GPS.  With A-GPS, the ***Quickfire*** also comes with *AT&T Navigator*, as well as AT&T's own traffic and turn-by-turn direction service.     **First Impressions** I did a considerable amount of research on the ***AT&T Quickfire* 3G *Handset* **before I agreed to purchase it for my off-spring and what I found was not altogether encouraging!  The handset has a high failure rate, and it reading a wide swath of reviews I found that the handset habitually dropped calls, locked up, has problems charging (oftentimes taking hours), very short battery standby times, and the touch screen was frequently non-responsive to, well, touch.  I warned my daughter about all of these issues and encouraged her to read the reviews herself and perhaps choose another model phone.  She informed me that she had read the reviews, but wanted the phone nonetheless.  So I went ahead and upgraded her phone to the ***AT&T Quickfire* 3G *Handset***.  After scare a month of use, my daughter came to me complaining about the exact same issues detailed in so many reviews!  Go figure!  So I replace the phone-I took my time doing so- with the exact same model.  So far the second phone is guilty of dropping calls, which can be attributed to AT&T cellular phone network, rather than the phone.  But the battery is also taking a long time to charge.     **My Viewpoint** On the surface the ***AT&T Quickfire* 3G *Handset*** is a great entry-level Internet-enabled, 3G phone, idea for texting, browsing, e-mailing, and instant message usage. However, the phone's well-documented issues/drawbacks outweigh any usefulness one might get from the unit over time.  Under the circumstances, I find it very hard to recommend ***AT&T Quickfire* 3G *Handset.***

The AT&T Quickfire is phone created by AT&T that allows for touchscreen capabilities and optimal texting. This phone has a very sleek design and great ideas in its programming such as MP3, aim, and organizing tools. The actual size of this phone is a bit thick, which makes it difficult to sometimes fit into pockets. Also, the touchscreen is a bit buggy, in which one finds himself having to repress buttons on the screen several times before it registers the touch. This can prove to be annoying at times; however, the texting features are great. The swivel screen is a great feature for texting, especially since the swivel screen reveals a keypad for a faster and easier texting experience. The user-interface on the phone itself is easy to recognize and fast to get to, especially when dialing numbers or writing a text message. One other tedious feature about the quickfire is the accessories, or lack of. With this phone, in order to upload music or send phones from phone to computer, the wires and required accessories must be purchased.

The  At&t Quickfire is the best phone I have ever owned.  I love the fact that it offers touchscreen and the qwerty key pad ( the best of both worlds).  The camera takes very good pictures (as long as you have just the right amount of light). Its a slider phone, which is great because this helps protect the qwerty key pad.  One other very important factor when buying a phone, reception and sound quality, this phone offers loud and clear reception.  It large screen makes it easier for reading text, emails, and browsing.  the Quickfire also comes with the real yellow pages(very convient). Cons:  There are very few things that I dislike about this phone.  the main thing I can think of is the battery doesn't last long.  When the battery gets low the touch screen loses some of its sensitivity. The last thing I can think of is its hard to find assesories in stores, you pretty much have to order everything online for this phone. I do recommend buying a screen protector when purchasing this phone.

i bought the at&t quickfire. it was flashy, i wanted a full keyboard. my decision was also made upon the color of the phone's outlining which is a lime green.  it is a touch screen- wanted to be up on this century....the touch screeen quickly broke after two mistaken drops to the ground. the phone was useable, with no screen, but all the same not applicable to use because you cant see anything. i very much like the keynoard the keys weren't too far apart. it seemed like it fit just right.  my boyfriend didn't like my phone- he said it was bulky. in a way yes. it is thicker than the blackberry but about the same size. if you're reading my review in search of advice, i would adivse you against purchasing this phone. if you decide not to take my advice, i strongly reccomend you to get insurance on that phone and be extra careful of dropping it.

AT&T - Quickfire Cell Phone, this phone has drove me crazy. It is a touch screen and at first it is very sensitive, but after a few weeks it isn't so sensitive, then the touch screen will take you to places you didn't want to go several times. I got one, had troubles with it, got a replacement within a month it went bad too sent it back and told them it was a hunk of junk and I wanted something else that I didn't have to return twice in the first 6 months.

The Att Quick Fire is a great phone. Not only is it gret for text messagng, its touch screen, and its great for navigating the internet. i found some of its apps a great feature especially the GPS navagation system. This phone is very up to date not only whith the features that come inside but on the outside as well. It comes in three different colors, orange, green, and grey. With amazing bluetooth and great reception you call from anywhere and it works perfectly. I was thinking of buying a digital camera but the resolution on this phone is so amazing there was no need for that, it has a camera and a recorder as well, perfect for uploading onto the computer and share with friends. Ive had phones with voice commands but they never really seem to actually read the command, not with this phone even if spoken not to clear it reads the commands perfectly. This indeed is a great phone great for texting!
