I have had the USAA card for years and for years before that the USAA company carried my Auto insurance.  I'm not sure how separate the USAA savings bank is from the insurance aspect of their company but it all works seamlessly.  I now have a loan, auto insurance, renters insurance, and my credit card through USAA.  I am planning on switching to their free Banking (checking account) in the near future.  This company is customer friendly.  If you have an issue, they are open to discuss it and really will help.  I had some fees due to something that I had misunderstood, and had not noticed (due to me not looking closely at my bills for a few months....my fault) and they reversed 3 months of fees just to show good faith that I had just misunderstood something.  Wow.  They have periodically lowered my interest without me even needing to request it.  Their online service is top notch, user friendly with no hidden fees.  They even have a bit of a (unofficial) grace period...if you are a day late it is unlikely that you will be charged a fee.  If you are over the limit, they notify you and you have until the bill cycles to bring it back under the limit without penalty.  I am not the most organized person but I sincerely try to do everything correctly and on time.  This company makes it easy by not penalizing small misteps and truly treating me like a valued customer.  I know that USAA is for military families only (unless something has changed), this includes if your parent was in the military (I got in through my stepfather and my father).  So, it may not be accessable to everyone, but if you can become a member, I strongly recomend that you do.  I can't rave about USAA enough, they are wonderful and take the stress out of banking and credit cards and even loans.
