Good 4 Military, warning they base quote off credit score

USAA Banking and Insurance — 

I have looked into USAA more than once. They're friendly, knowledgeable, etc; only one problem...They can't beat the company I've been with for 4+ years, just because of our credit score. We continue to pay things off, but haven't "rebuilt" our credit. We pay cash for everything! So no credit/bad credit equals higher rate and less money for them. Sorry

The statement about quoting based on only a credit score is absolutely incorrect. First USAA uses an Insurance Score as one of many rating factors. Insurance Score and Credit Score are NOT the same thing. You must also keep in mind you have a 4+ year relationship with your current provider and none with USAA. Tenure is a factor along with depth of relationship. Relationship is important. If you were new to your current carrier your cost would also be higher. ALL insurance comanies use insuance scores because the is a predictor of the possibel risk associated with a driver.
