Most HelpfulKnow what you are getting... US Weekly gives you a broad array of pure celebrity dish and trash. That's right. If you want your fill of celebrity gossip, who looks better in what dress, fashion trends, etc then US Weekly is perfect for you.
On my recent stay in the hospital I had every trash magazine...

Most HelpfulBottom-line: While US Weekly is fine for the undemanding and tedious world of the exercise treadmill, I would not read the magazine on continual basis; there is just not enough substance.
The New Year brought a new commitment to fitness; Yeah! But no, this time I'm serious about wanting to shed a...
read full review »Okay, I'm going to admit it: I'm addicted to celebrity gossip. I was sad when Brad and Jen broke up and was thrilled when Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez called off their wedding. For the past several years I've been getting my celeb gossip fix by reading US Weekly Magazine.
This magazine is about 100 pages and contains celebrity sightings, rumors, best/worst dressed, a few full-length feature stories about the biggest newsmakers of the week, info on upcoming TV shows and movies, and many pages of fashion and makeup placements. It usually takes me about an hour to read through it, but I skip...
read full review »Ok, lets be honest. We all know this isn't the New York Times. We know exactly what this is when we are buying it. I am guilty of grabbing it in the grocery store aisle whenever I see it. What can I say there is something fascinating about seeing stars in their so called "Real lives". I often finish an issue feeling really sorry for these poor souls who happened to "slip and fall" into stardom (yes that was sarcasm).
I do however, think there is a line that should not be crossed. I mean if a certain indivual goes street hopping with no panties and steps out of vehicles like she's attempting...

I can't help but be addicted.. We all have that one moment where we just wish to escape the confines of our own crazy life, and experience someone elses'. Well that is what I do. I however, will admit it is a big waste of money. US Weekly along with all the other "rags" out there run a pretty penny. I used to spend about $40.00 a week on them. I much rather stick to watching it on E! News, or someother broadcast.
My son gets a kick out of the fact that he can tear them up when I'm finished though !

Us typifies so-called "celebrity" magazines- a bunch of not-even-articles celebrating people who aren't even really famous. Or they're not famous for actually having done something...We'd be better off paying attention to our friends and neighbors, rather than famous-cause-they're-famous people like Paris Hilton and Co.

If you're looking for substance or articles on the war and the country's economic status, this is not the place for you. US weekly is fluffy. It's what the pretty, rich people are doing, and how you can look like them. It always has an article about a female celeb who has lost lots of weight, articles on cheap alternatives to expensive fashion, and how to get those makeup tricks like all the hot celebs do. Also who's sleeping with who and who's having a baby to who.
On the bright side, if you're sitting waiting for the doctor, or need something to read in the bathroom, or want the latest dirt...
