US Bank Home Mortgage Worst Customer Service

1 star rating

Cons
    Bad Customer Service

After Hurricane Katrine they were difficult to deal with nasty and rude. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. With all the frustration after the storm with tring to find honest contractors and working and living in an apartment while having to work on my house myself, only one time I recieved 1 common sense solution from a manager which I almost had to beg for. Stay away from this company. I did not choose them they bought my mortgage from a broker. So be sure you know who is buying your mortgage. If they were in my area I would have paid them a visit and probably would have been arrested for the first time, because I would have gladly committed assault on one of those smug disgusting jackasses.

NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they are a client of US Bank

We have tried to work with US Bank for over 6 months. We had a 8.9 interest rate and they would NOT work with us to lower it. They are impossible to get ahold of, and rude when you do get ahold of someone. My husband was laid off of work and they said they would NOT take a partial payment. Two days ago we got a letter in the mail saying our house was being auctioned off in 2 weeks. We have 2 toddlers and no house. US BANK is what is wrong with this country...please please do not use them if at all possible.

I agree! I think mine goes beyond just bad service! My husband lost his job May 30, 2008 and mortgage was due ( over $1100.00 per month ) First creditor we called was them to let them know we would not be able to make the June payment. Which they offered advise and told us to send what we could they have all kinds of options to help us get thru this, so we sent half, they wanted us to send them a list of our debt to income ratio which we did! By this time my husband started recieving unemployment ins. for a measley $354.00 per week when his salary was $5000.00 per month. So, the loan sharks called us back and said they were sorry they couldn't help us because we had too much debt and not enough income well DUHHH! Thats why we needed the help. We had to continue to make the payments in full and luckily our car loan institution worked with us and we put some payments in the back of our book. Well, since we did what the loan sharks said they wanted the other half of the June payment they told us not to worry about. We didn't even have food to eat! So, we still owe the rest of last years payment and they took the half payment we sent them and put it into a suspended state and started taking $48.00 per month out of it for late charges now they are telling us we are one month behind and if we don't pay it they will STOP taking our payments and force us into foreclosure! You never suggest what you would do if they were in your area. Well, I won't hesitate to tell you that I'd like to park a white van in front of ALL thier banks and go boom! I HATE THEM! If they want my house it is 3 years old and I will strip it to the studs and they can shove it side ways where the sun don't shine! BEWARE I would NOT do buisness with them if they were the last bank on earth or I wouldn't take a house from them if they told me they were giving it away! They should be shut DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree this bank is the worst in customer service, I have ING NOW and WAMU i only use WAMU to deposit and clear personal checks than i transfer that to ING. but wamu has always helped me out of OVERDRAFT fees. USBANK is lousy and i agree with you 100%

I have to totally agree with you. They have one of the worst customer service dept. and supervisors for that matter. My husband and I have never been late on our mortgage until Sept of this year and that was because he was laid off. We called and worked out to have our aug. payment deferred and pay our Sept payment by automatic withdrawl. When we paid our payment for July we called to make sure everything was done correctly and they told us their was nothing they could do for our Aug. payment and if we could pay that payment we could maybe defer for Sept. We decided to just pay our Sept. payment by check since they had not held up to their part. They went ahead and tried to take the payment out and are charging us for the returned ach payment. By our contract we had 15 days grace to pay that payment. I believe this is one of the biggest reason America is having the housing crisis. Jobs are being cut and people are hurting and the bank do not care especially U.S. Bank. Its sad that good people that have hit a rough spot are being treated so rudely and with no help with our mortgages. I would hope that for the families of these people that are so rude at U.S. Bank never have to experience a hardship because maybe they will meet their someone who treats them like they treat their customers. It goes back to the old saying treat people as you would want to be treated.
