Not worth saving a few dollars!

US Airways —
We normally fly other airlines but we decided to save a few dollars and purchased tickets with US Air. I saved sixty dollars but should have paid the difference. Our plane originated in STL and we left on time. We arrived late into Charlotte and had 3 minutes to run from one concourse to another. After a 10 minute jog through an overcrowded airport we got to our gate only to see Volunteers needed flashing on the screen. A Monday night flight that was overbooked. I don't quite get that. They spent over an hour trying to get people off the flight so we left late of course. Once on the plane they still needed one more person to volunteer to say at a hotel and leave the next day. Another wait. They were offering the usual free ticket to anywhere in the 48, but had that before and too many black out dates fo make it worth while. I was traveling with my son so there was no way I was giving up my seats. We did finally arrive at BWI at 10:30 at night. My husband had been at the airport since 8:30 since our flight was due in at 9. It was 11 before we had our luggage and when we went to pay the parking fee we spent 43 dollars to park. So we didn't save at all in the end. The flight attendants were a shot in the dark. One even complained when I asked for two creamers instead on one. She told me with an attitude that pretty soon we would have to pay for beverages also. I told her I was more than willing to pay to have something my way. That was just one attendant. The others were very friendly, but one bad apples sours the pot so to say. My suggestion...stick to the bigger airlines and pay the extra 20 dollars.
