The worst, Devious. Terrible customer service.

    Don't live up to commitments., Rude and obstinate., delayed flights, consistent incompetence, Bait and switch offers., Policies change, even as you talk.

US Airways — 

I travel a lot for business and pleasure and I have never encountered a more frustrating company than US Air (in any field for that matter.) They make promises and then revoke them. I was given a ticket once as compensation for giving up my seat on an overbooked flight. I was assured that ticket was good for ANY US Air flight ANYTIME, ANYWHERE in the US. I clarified this multiple times with multiple workers at the counter. When I go to use the ticket there are restrictions on days, and flight costs. It was basically a $200 US Air gift card in the end - not what I was promised. And customer service on the phone was rude and obstinate and gave me a huge run-around.
Another time I had racked up a lot of miles flying overseas on a partner airline. Their website (and the people at the counter) promised my flights would count toward preferred member status. When I called to request my status upgrade I was told that the partner airline miles did not qualify. I showed them it on their website, they refused and 2 days later that disappeared from their website.
Sounds pretty sneaky and devious.
I am in the process of redeeming all my miles with them then moving to another airline. Domestically it is Southwest all the way now. Same amenities on the flights, much better customer service.

Totally agree. Almost every experience I had with them was unpleasant. They lose luggages consistently, interact in a rude manner consistently, web site does not work consistently. I was really hoping that they would go bankrupt so that someone else, like Southwest could have their route. The worst thing they did was to have this airline that does not resemble much to hang in there. I hate this airline and the only time I will use it is when I cannot avoid it.
