UP (3D Version) Reviews

I have been conversing with friends over in Twitterville and many are talking about the movie Up.  I knew I wanted to see it but it wasn't one I was going to rush out to see.  I thought I would see it when it came out on DVD. 

Well, yesterday after a day of riding on the Harley with an older brother he asked me if I wanted to go to the movies.  We went and picked up our nephews who are 14 1/2 and 16 and a group of us went to the theater.  I thought the whole purpose of taking the kids was to see the 3D version so when we found out the 5:00 show was the regular format we decided to purchase...

Disney Pixar's movie "Up" is an instant classic. We saw the movie in 3D, and even though we got stuck on the front row of the theater, we had a great time. "Up" is a bit different from other Pixar movies. It has some sad moments, and is very sentimental. It doesn't often go for the big, obvious laughs (although laugh you will!), instead offering a touching story that has the adult character learning some important lessons from a child.

A smooth storyline takes you on a journey of a mans life with his wife, giving viewers a glimpse of special moments they had together. Without taking up too much...

Unsure what "UP' was about, I entered the movie theater with some doubt I would like it. I thought the movie was just about a man living in the air. I was definitely wrong! "UP' is a beautiful movie about love, life, and adventure. The life lessons intertwined in each scene are a must-see for every child and adult. I laughed and cried and left the movie theater inspired.

I saw the movie in 3-D because it was advertised as a must. The 3-D element did not add that much to the movie. I would have not wasted the few extra dollars if I would have known this. The 3-D did add depth to the sky scenes....

UP (3-d version) was a great family film.  I enjoyed watching this with my daughters.  They enjoyed the humor and the coloful characters.  I enjoyed the story-line about not waiting to follow your dreams.  It was funny, touching and exciting.  I gave this move 4 stars, however, because the 3d effects were few and far between.  I would have gotten a better value if I had not purchased the more expensive, 3d movie ticket.  And I would have enjoyed it just the same!
