tylenol is good at relieving minor aches and pains, but it will not help severe pain. for severe pain you will need a prescription pain killer like vicodin. these strong medications like vicodin are not available over the counter, however, which i feel is extremely unfair. do you know how difficult it can be to get a doctor to write a script for vicodin??? i have been trying for a long time and still do not have one. tylenol works for minor pain, but it is just not good enough for my back pain. i have scoliosis and tylenol just does not cut it. plus, taking too much tylenol can cause liver damage. i take tylenol frequently, but it always leaves me wanting more pain relief. also, vicodin and the like provide not only pain relief, but can also be mood elevators. i wish tylenol could do that. attention makers of tylenol: add codeine or hydrocodone or something strong to your product!!! you will triple sales and have many many happy customers!!!
...

I get sinus headaches every time I get a cold. They hurt in my eyes, my teeth, and my head. Tylenol Sinus, or even plain old Tylenol, is what I always reach for when I get one of these nasty headaches. If I don't have any on hand, I will go to the nearest store where I know that I will be able to buy it. It's worth every cent that I pay, the value is very good.
...

I love Tylenol. It's for mild to moderate pain.It is acetaminophen. I always have a bottle in my purse . I use it for any pain I get have from a head ache to musle ache. When get the flu it's what I go to Tylenol for my aches and fever. It works great and fast I have use it for years. When I work out to hard and leg musels hurt I take it. They are easy to swallow there small, but you shouldn't take more than 8 in a 24 hour period. Tylenol contains no asprin so it will be unlikely to irritate your stomach. You can take it with or with out food and take it either way when I use it and it works the same. I have usually take it with other medications with out a problem. I've used it since 1991. I use it the most for my menstrual cramps. I used it recently when a got a cold and it worked on my fever and my aching body. I recommend it to anyone that has aches and mild pains even for a toothache.
...

brnized says "Tylenol Precautions" about Tylenol Regular Strength

Tylenol has been around for over twenty years. We've been inundated with ads telling us how safe it is. It is a very safe drug if taken exactly as directed. I know people who think if two's good, then four's better. The problem with that thinking, is if taken that way for a 24 hour period, you will have overdosed on it. One day probably won't hurt you, but more than that, may lead to serious side effects. Tylenol is metabolized in the liver. Overdosing on Tylenol may cause liver damage, or possibly total liver failure. We should always follow the directions on the lable of all medications. The containers have directions, not suggestions! If you're also taking other medications metabolized in the liver, then special precautions need to be taken. Always consult with your physician before taking Tylenol if taking cholesterol reducing statins.

Too often, teenagers will deliberately overdose on Tylenol. They are trying to punish, or get the attention of, their parents or someone who has...
...

i buy this product monthly. i suffer from headaches and a lot of pain. it really works wonders for me. a lot of the time, it works better than most of my prescription medications. i have to always have tylenol ready and with in reach at all times. i go crazy when i run out of it, and have to run to the store to purchase it , or send me fiance out, but it's really worth it. it works on my back pain, sometimes, and it helps with my arthritis. i give my kids tylenol when they are feeling sick, and it really works for them as well. i usually pick it up at the local dollar store, because i purchase it so much that it started getting expensive, but now i can get a bottle for as low as about two dollars, which is always good. i really recommend this product to all looking for an over the counter solution for pain. although i'm sure there are lots of people who use this product, but just giving an added note about tylenol and how it can help you out when your in pain, and...
...

It seems no matter what time of the year I alwasy Have A bottle of Tylenol in my medicine in my medicine cabinet. It's a great product and trust worthy and they make everything from allergy medicine,to cold medicine or just regular headache medicine. I like the fact I can buy one brand for all of the ailments my children might have or me for that matter. In the last few years it seems they've really been expanding the products. It seems every year they're coming out with more different or improved products. I never really used Tylenol until I got pregnant and it use the only product my doctor advised me to to use, so I know it's safe and recommended by doctors. Every since I started to use it I've never turned back it's a great product, a great brand and I would recommend it to anybody. I just love the variety of products they have and I think I have tried just about all of them so I would like to say thank you Tylenol for keeping me and my family healthy and pain free.
...

Extra-Strength Tylenol is an absolute life saver for anyone experiencing chronic pain. Aspirin is hard on my stomach so I had to find an alternate at an early age. I have used Tylenol for many years. Tylenol was recommended by my physician and a pharmacist.

I have been dealing with some pain for many years but it was never what I would consider chronic until recently. I had a meeting three blocks from the house so decided to walk rather than drive. The meeting went well and as we were leaving two friends offered to give me a ride home. I insisted that it was just a short walk and no problem. Obviously I was not paying attention. I caught the heel of my shoe on a warped sidewalk went tumbling. Talk about embarrassed. I wanted to get up as fast as possible. I then discovered that my right wrist was injured. The pain was above what I normally manage.

The wrist is not broken but the tendons are not happy. That was back in July, 2009 and I am still experiencing some pain. Extra-Strength Tylenol...
...

Tylenol is possibly the safest medicine out on the over the counter market today, when taken as directed. This medicine can be safely taken when you are on prescription medications because of its no known side effects, and it is very gentle on a persons stomach. Also it will not harm a persons sensitive system (when used as directed) It is the only general pain reliever that I keep in the house for these few simple reasons. Even my husband, who has a thing for wanting everthing cheaper, realises that this is one product that I will not compromise on.
...

drd353 says "Pretty effective..." about Tylenol Regular Strength

Another product which would probably make more money by lowering its prices. Tylenol is an effective pain reliever, but unfortunately not the most effective.

To its credit, it doesn't irritate my stomach nearly as much as asprin or ibuprophen. Unfortunately as a person who get's alot of headaches, it is not always effective or as effective as Ibuprophen; although I will appreciate the fact forever that it is more inexpensive than ibuprofen.

And it should not go without saying that when my child was under 10, this product is almost all I used for his headaches and fevers as I perceived and still perceive it to be more child friendly.

I think this product could be most improved by adding an anti-inflammatory ingredient, like ibuprofen, even if they had to add ibuprofen. If they did this I think they would reclaim much of their own market, if not take the oral pain killer market by storm. I have a lot of product loyalty with this brand.
...

tylenol. i thought that this was the best in over the counter pain relieve for headached joint paint what ever. really its not alieve is way better than this i have tried it and works faster and most of the time the pain does not come back like with tylenol. also, i am studying to become a pharmacy technician. so when i was in the drug section it explained to me about different over the counter drugs available now and how long it takes to reach you site of pain. tylenol is ranked down among other out there. so now i have acctuall proof that it was just not me that thought that there were acctuall studies. for example, the commercial you see on television with the sleep studies on tylenol pm and adbil pm are acctually true they just over achieve it. alieve is also not the greatests over the counter pain releaver out there but it sure does beat tylenol. if you are a tylenol user i recommend you make the switch if your not sure ask your doctor for his opinion.
...

tylenol has been around a long time and has been recommended by doctors and hospitals for pain for years. the FDA has just recently come out with a warning for this product. it destroys your liver and is worse than alcohol with its effects. the FDA and the makers of tylenol have known this for years. why not the general public? they (the makers of tylenol) wanted to test this product on us and make their money while destroying our health. i know this from personal experience with my family. my aunt who had surgery was told by her doctor and hospital to take tylenol for pain, several years later she was hospitalized again and her liver was in bad shape. the doctor and hospital told her she would have to give up her consumption of alcohol. my aunt has never, ever drank alcohol. imagine her surprise. they thought she was an alcoholic. no, it was the tylenol she had been taking. she also took it according to its directions and never abused it. she could of had a shot or a couple of shots...
...
