Tylenol has always been a great product, and over the years it has become my choice of pain reliever. I hadn't purchased any in a while though, and when I went to the store to pick some up, I came across the geltabs. These geltabs are the easiest things to swallow I have ever come across. Instead of dissolving right after you put them in your mouth, it gives you a few moments to take that drink of water and get them down before the medicine starts to kick in. This is a big step up for me, because I have always really disliked the tastes of medicines, and not having to taste what I am putting into my body was a real plus for me. The Tylenol Extra Strength Gel Caps were just what "the doctor ordered" when it comes to dealing with my symptoms from now on, and they will become a mainstay in my medicine cabinet.
As I said, I picked them up at the store (a grocery store), and have seen them nearly everywhere that medications are sold. The Tylenol Extra Strength Gel Caps are sold in a red box with the Tylenol logo in big letters, and the words extra strength in slightly smaller text located right under the brand name. They stand out from everything else because of their color packaging, and it has been easy for me to locate them each time down the aisle. Now the the major benefit of the product isn't the packaging, but rather what it is designed to do for you. It is advertised to serve as temporary relief for minor aches and pains associated with symptoms such as headaches, muscular aches, and arthritis. The other main use, is as a temporary fever reduction if taken when symptoms start to occur. This is what I have used it for primarily, if I am suffering from a fever and want to bring it down in order to go through my daily activities.
Thus far, I have always found the Tylenol Extra Strength Gel Caps to work in every way that they are advertised. The geltabs make it so much easier to take than normal pills, and they just slide down your throat when you take them. They recommend taking 2 of the tabs every 4 to 6 hours, but I have found that the relief in my instance will last the full 6 hours if not a little bit longer. They also warn against taking more than 8 in any 24 hour period. This is not something I have tried, nor do I plan on doing that. The 500mg tablets are very safe, and they are recommended and used by most doctors and hospitals. The tabs contain acetaminophen and do not have any sort of aspirin as its ingredient. This causes it to be used my a majority of people who are allergic to aspirin, and it gives benefits that are in the same range. It is a rule of thumb to not use this medication while taking others. This is a product that has been put to good use by me, and I highly recommend that everyone has some in the house for times when you just cannot deal with some physical pains, or a fever that has gotten bad.
