Two and a Half Men Review Summary

One of television's most popular sitcoms since its premiere in 2003,Two and a Half Men features Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. Charlie Harper (Sheen) is a 40 year old playboy bachelor with a successful career writing commercial jingles. Unfortunately for him, his lifestyle is cramped when his brother Alan (Cryer) is divorced and forced to move in with him, bring his 10 year old son Jake (Jones). Alan is a bit more uptight than Charlie and is also more than a little jealous of his lifestyle. Charlie, on the other hand, flaunts his hedonism and disdain for commitment, causing no end of awkwardness between Alan and his son. Throw in a smart alecky, yet wise house keeper, a neurotic ex-wife, a stalker ex-girlfriend and a self-absorbed, clueless mother and the pot is stirred with some pretty funny, if at times, risque comedy. Some are attracted by this as "the show is usually fearless and relentless in skewering the lives of the hipster and the geek" but others are "so tired of watching a middle aged guy with a bunch of bimbo dumb girls". The comedy is, indeed fearless, which may be why the show is so popular. The easily offended might want to steer clear.

Two and a Half Men. It's the BEST show out there. Tonight we finished the Fourth Season of Two and a Half Men. We had hoped to be caught up for the release of Two and a Half Men, Season 6, due out September 1.

This show is witty. It walks a fine line on crude and humorous. It's the ONLY show that makes...

I used to watch this show and enjoy it the first couple seasons but I couldn't even watch it for more then 5 minutes anymore. Same story line over and over, and I am so tired of watching a middle aged guy with a bunch of bimbo dumb girls! He's not the only one getting too old, so are the jokes! Same... read full review »

While many people may be turned off by the sarcastic, sometimes caustic wit displayed by this show, on top of the sexual themes evident in each show, the show is usually fearless and relentless in skewering the lives of the hipster and the geek, who happen to be brothers. The show flows so seamlessly, it appears that this may be somewhat biographical, especially for Charlie Sheen, knowing his history with the Heidi Fleiss crew, his legendary binging, and his near death due to his overindulgences. And Jon Cryer is perfect in his role as a dumped, and dumped on, middle aged man.

This isn't an...

Although I think it's getting a little 'stale' going into it's 5th season, (Is that right?) it's still one of the funniest sitcoms on TV.  If you believe the tabloids, the show was especially designed for the drunken, sexist ways of Charlie Sheen.

I wouldn't watch this with anyone under the age of 13 for sure; maybe older.  But it does remind me of when my son was younger & trying to find ways of covering up adult terminology.  I have to admit, Charlie sometimes reminds me of a YOUNGER ME!  (Remember Disco?  I was a full time DJ in the clubs.  Johnnie Walker on the rocks 6 nights a week,...

this show is really funny, the humor of course is off-color and can make some people blush, like my brother and his family.  however i like the way everyone plays off of each other.  my favorite is jon cryer. he seems to be acting, not just reading the lines. the show makes fun of marriage and how difficult it is to really know women except for one night stands.  in that way charlie has the right approach, use and forget them. the way charlie took in his brother and son is rather heartwarming since i have a similar situation and not the same results.  some people have big hearts.

Two and a Half Men is the best sitcom on TV.  It is one of the few shows my husband and I actually watch together.  It makes us laugh outloud which most sitcoms do not do anymore.  Charlie, Alan and Jake get into situations which are so real they are so believable.  My favorite show is where Charlie and Alan forget to pick up Jake at school.  Really sad but one of my top nightmares of being a parent.  The storylines are just awesome.

It’s hard to believe in my lifetime Lucy and Desi were required to sleep in twin beds by the network censors.  You will especially have trouble believing that fact after you see Two and Half men.  Unquestionably the funniest hippest show on TV today.  Is so racy I can’t believe they let it run in prime time.  It has brilliant casting and rapid-fire jokes and may be the perfect sit-com!

This show is great!!! Every character has their own sense of humor and delivers their one liners perfectly. They seem to work great together. No episode (except Charlies character of course) is the same. I laugh through every episode from beginning to end and sometimes I miss some of the episode because I am laughing so hard. This is great entertainment and will cheer you up if you have had mad or hard working day.

My family loves to watch Two and a Half Men.  After long days, we look forward to watching this.  No matter how long or hard a day, they always make us laugh and lighten the day.  The show has a sexual undertone but it is great.  We bought the series on dvd and watch them over and over, in addition to watching the series on television.

Two and a Half Men features Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.  The similarities between Charlie/ Alan and Oscar/ Felix  is striking. The era is different but the clashes are very similar. While the is no Murray "the cop", there is Berta, the housekeeper, there's Mom, and of course the kid!!!

The wit and sarcasm in the show is clear and well proportioned. It interwines and weaves itself within the sometimes weak/thin story lines. But this wit is what makes the show so funny. The fact that the story lines are sometimes shallow doesn't mean that the cleverness involved in injecting the...

I am a huge fan of sit coms and Two and a half Men has to be the best and funniest show I have ever watched. I look so forward to Monday nights when the newer episodes come on.  I rarely ever miss it.  And if time allows, I usually watch the old re-runs every night from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  No matter how many times I've seen a particular episode, I'm always laughing!  The writers for this show are geniuses!  Each and every character plays so well off the others.  It's perfect harmony and perfectly hilarious.  If you've never seen this show, you have to watch it. I guarantee you'll be in...

Two and a Half Men is a very funny show for adults.  It has the best writers ever.  You never get bored with it and it will keep you laughing and wanting for more.  Charlie Sheen is the perfect fit for this show he makes you believe he is really he is Charlie Harper a sex craved guy who drinks to much.  Alan played by Jon Cryer is a helpless and hopeless romantic, who is nerotic and funny at the same time.  His son Jake played by Angus T. Jones acts totally clueless as to what is going on in the world, just like a normal teenager.  Evelyn Harper played by Holland Taylor is the worst mom ever,...

One of the funniest sitcoms around in a long time is two and a half men starring Charlie Sheen who plays an insatiable playboy who lives with his brother and nephew (or should I say his brother and nephew live with him).  He is independently wealthy and a conformed womanizing bachelor which conflicts with his brother who is a very down to earth doctor.  The show certains around Charlies flamboyant lifestyle and entertaining women.  The humor in the show is so unique it can often be even crude at times.  Each episode is entertaining if you haven't seen it it is available in the series on DVD. ...
