I first saw this film on cable and liked it so much I purchased the DVD. The soft core erotica element attracted me. Also as a Southerner, and a woman, the interaction between the women of the different generations of a single family was interesting, Alhough I am a woman who does not like many chick flicks, I liked single Southern culture, wealth, etc. contrasted with the seedier side of life--carnies, people who work hard for a living to make life comfortable for others (e.g., the men installing the tents for the wedding of the wealthy female lead). In the end, these two worlds collide and the female lead must choose between lusting for a carnie and loving/marrying a wealthier man. Or does she?
