Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) —

This is the first book of a three book series. The action is intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book is suitable for young adults over the age of 15 and should be read by an adult before allowing a child to read. There is some sexual content, although very sutble, not all parents would appreciate their child reading it.

Overall, the book was phenominal. The characters were well developed in this novel and it definitely portrays the life of an average, American teen growing up in this era. Although I am well out of my teenage years, I still appreciated the novel for the suspense and interesting twists and turns. The series is a great summer read.

This novel is among my personal top ten list that includes The Kite Runner, The Harry Potter Series, and Wicked.
