Twilight

This book is amazing. Prior to reading Twilight, I had heard from many friends that they could not put this book down and now I know why. I also see that it appeals to people of all ages from preteen to the elderly, (my mother loved it!). It is also appropriate for all of these age groups as there is no swearing, no sex and nothing too violent.

This book follows the story of a teen named Bella who recently goes back to Forks, WA to live with her Dad. She notices a group of outcasts at the school and falls in love with one, named Edward. She comes to find out that they are part of a Vampire family, and instead of being scared she is enthralled and becomes dedicated to the whole group. The story follows the ups and downs of their relationships, and Edward becomes her guardian, as well as her boyfriend.

The movie comes out November 21st, and I am very excited. I'm sure it won't do the book justice, but none the less I still can't wait to see it.

I am giving this book 5 stars as it is the best book I have read in a long time and it keeps me wanting more!

I'll have to say that at first I was skeptical because the reviews I read were saying it was a teen/pree-teen book. Well let me tell ya ladies. On a rainy day in Georgia with a fire place roaring seemed to be the perfect setting for this book. I read it in 2 days. Granted, I'm sleep deprived but I immediately went out and bought the rest of the series scared someone might buy them all up.
By the way...I'm 30. So way to Go Stephanie!
I wish Edward had went to my HS :(

Sorry my votes are late but I did dialysis several weeks ago and got behind on reading reviews. I am dedicating a good bit of my day and week to catching up!

My preacher made reference to a series of books about vampires that was taking the teen population by storm. He wasn't too keen on it for the very nature of the book.

My best friend Lori was sitting beside me and she told me her 15 yr. old is reading them too. I was a bit surprised and I asked her why she allowed it and she said, "Because she is actually choosing to read and all her friends are reading them..."

I am going to tag this as a favorite for after the holidays. I loved the movie Van Helsing! If this isn't part of the series do you know which one he may have been talking about? ~Gigi

After reading a couple reviews on this book, I am going to have to check it out. The whole vampire thing didn't really sound that great, but I noticed people of all ages are enjoying this book, not just the teens which I originally thought this book was for. Thanks for the review.
