Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) —

There has been a lot of talk about these books and seems as though many either love or hate it. I found it a very engaging story that is easy to get wrapped up in. I like stories that you can get lost in and all the drama of teem romance can be a great little read when you are looking for an escape. That being said this is no Shakespeare--it will not one day be counted amongst the annals of great literature. It is what it is, a fun teen romance kind of novel. I really enjoyed the author's variations on the typical vampire conventions, without them the book would have been a bit too formulaic for my taste. The rest of the books are good but the series tends to get predictable by the end.

Thanks for your review. Hopefully I will get the first book in the series for Christmas. I watched the movie and enjoyed it but the book is ALWAYS better!
