Twilight - The Movie Review

After reading the books and becoming infatuated with the characters in the book I was nervous about watching the movie. I know books are never like the movies and most times fall flat.  Unfortunately Twilight the movie did. I was not happy with most of the people chosen to play the characters. I wouldn't have picked Kristen as Bella. She doesn't look fragile enough, maybe it is because she is new to the hollywood thing but I didn't feel like she connected with the character enough. I could tell she was playing a part, not being the person. Hopefully by the second movie she will have a better way of intwining her character with herself to make it more believable.  Also Robert Pattinson has the features that I would expect but he comes across as shy or timid. He needs to be more sure of himself, cocky almost, at least this is how I read him to be.  His love for Bella and torment for the need of her blood should be an afffliction almost like pain, but he made it come off as unsteadyness like he had no self esteem.  As for Jacobs character, I hope he gets more of a manly appearance because he wasn't anything like I pictured when I was reading my books. I know they can't pick the person in my head but I wasn't expecting a person who looked like him... I hope that with the second movie the characters will be able to draw their audience in and make the story more believable. Also I was expecting the skin of the vampires to be more stoney in appearance, and in the sun I was expecting a stone texture with light reflecting like it was covered in diamonds.  Guess the movie just left me empty. Very dissapointed with the film .
