This book series, in my opinion, is absolutely amazing. It may be a bit long at times, and some details just seem unneccessary, but the overall book is good. It is a great workout for your imagination, to think and come up with your very own interpretated images in your mind. Lots of the fantasy marked details, like the description of beauty and supernatural powers, just have you wishing you can encounter someone like that.

The story is about a girl named Bella who moves away from the city, where she lived with her soon to be remarried mother. She moves to a small town to live with her father. After starting school there, she is immensely noticed by the male students. All but one, Edward Cullen. Edward, as described in the book, is basically THE ultimate prince charming, gorgeous, smart, strong, and down right perfect guy.

Bella is put in many strange hard-to-get-out-of situations. Luckily for her, Edward always seems to be there to help her out. Bella is highly atttracted to him, as he is to her. They end up dating and he reveals to her one of his families deepest, darkest secrets. They are vampires. Each and every one of them try to overcome the will of wanting to feed on human blood, and instead go out hunting in the woods.

Edward is extremely cautious of Bella's safety because of her ability at being clumsy. One day, while Bella and the Cullen family were out in the woods, the vampires scent another vampire in the area, headed their way. Once met, the father of the family, Carlisle, explains to them that the area they live in, humans are not allowed to be attacked. They live in peace in the land and don't want to have the citizens becoming suspicious.

The vampire they came across, however, happened to be a hunter, and was extremely glad to see how over protective Edward was of Bella - but in the end, they had won. James, the hunter, had tricked Bella into believing he had her mom in captivity. She went to where he wanted her, and attacked! Edward, had come just in time and saved her life.
