In mu opion and through my havey use of this product. i belive that this headset is good for the causal gamer.some pros are. It has pretty good sound quailty. Fits nice, has built in xbox live chat. cons- Lots of cords, the head band can be fadagal, and it dose get tangled easy. My overall recomidation- for a starter headset it is good i would buy it but if your looking for something long term or for competive gaming i would buy something like the astro a40's or a30's

I bought these used from my friend who sold his xbox and had no use for them.  I am completely in love with these headphones. the sound quality is amazing and you can hear footsteps in shooter games just like they say you can.  they are VERY very comfotable and the design is very nice.  With very soft padding on both sides and on the top, it is as if you are wearing a pillow on top of your head.  it is a little hard to set up at first, because you have to plug a couple cords into your TV but other than that they are super simple and easy. if you accidentaly leave them on and you are not using them, they will automaticly turn off in 5 minutes.  This is a great feature because it will not eat away your battery and it saves you money and energy.  Their are better turtle beaches than this one, such as the wireles ones but if you dont want to spend that much money i highly recommend this pair, they have been working for me for over a year now with no complaints.

I bought this Turtlebeach Headset about 1 month ago. Before that, all i used to use was the regular mic, that Xbox gives you when you purchase you're Xbox 360. That mic was fine, but it didn't give me what i was looking for in gameplay sound. I had heard good rumors about the Turtlebeach headset. As well as a couple of friends telling me good reviews about it. I decided i would go out and buy it and find out what all the scope was about. When i first wore them i was amazed at the difference in sound comapred to a normal mic. The sound can't even compare! This things are like the tv speaking into you're ears. When you join a game in multiplayer you can absolutely hear EVERYTHING! It is very, very useful when playing shooters. As you have to watch you're back constantly to make sure you don't get killed. With the Turtlebeach headset you can hear someone approaching you from behind as well as if someone is around. You can hear they're footsteps. That's how accurate in sound it is. It is just an amazing headset and i had never had anything like it before. I am very satisfied with this product. It was not cheap but it was totally worth the money!

"I Love my Turtle Beaches!" This was something I heard over Xbox Live constantly while playing multiplayer games. I was told they give you a competitive edge online, and they do. The clarity of the sound enables you to hear a pin drop in game, and at high quality. If I were given the chance to purchase them again, I would... but I would definitely spend the extra money and get the wireless version. This wired model is very easy to get tangled up and keep looking nice.

i think the headphones are great for gaming and for listening to music, ive listened to alot of music on these and they by far met my expectations. they are great, and would recommend to anyone. the only neg is that they are not too good on noise elimination. you can here outside noises but is not too bad. For the price and the quality they are very good for gaming and just listening to music in general. Many people have already upgraded to the newer model but i like these just the same. The comfort is ok, they start to get less comfortable with use and the inside ear pieces tend to become loose with use but doesn't affect use or sound quality. They are much better than the regular headsets that you would get with your xbox/ps3. They are made very well, i have dropped, kicked, pulled on the wires, time and time again and have just abused them over and over and yet they still manage to stay together so im sure they have to be good. just check them out for yourself if you want to know more about them. thanks for reading this review. The Turtle Beach X1 Headset, is one of the best out there. It's affordable, durable comfortable, and lightweight.   1. Sound Quality The first time I put on these amazing headphones I swear the air touch my shoulder. I turned on the XBOX and the intro to the on screen was wizzing past my head. The sound is amazing, you feel like your wherever your playing. The only downside to the sound is, the explosions. The explosions sound really crashy because there is no bass boost. But that can easily be ignored.   2. Comfortablity This is the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. The Ear Cups form around your ear, and there are pads on top that cusion your noggin, for hours of gaming, listening to music, or if you want just wear them.   3. Lightweight When you hold these godly headphones it feels super light, kind of like holding a small rock. Yes in the pictures it may seem bulky, and a bit big, but when your in your room gaming, it makes no difference.
