The Turtle Bay was wonderful for our family. We loved the quiet, somewhat isolated location away from the crowds of Honolulu. The view was amazing from our "Ocean view room". We were lulled to sleep all night by the waves gently crashing on the lava rocks. The room was decorated in a very classy… read full review »

The Turtle Bay Resort was located in a super beautiful setting and definitely a great place for a golfer. We were even amazed that if we touched the two small bottles of water left in our room, we would be charged $3.00 per bottle!! Our first dinner at the Palm Terrace was very good and the… read full review »

The Turtle Bay Hilton Resort on the North Shore of Oahu is a ideal setting for a relaxed vacation. The resort is located on the country side of the island--away from the traffic of the city. The service is wonderful. We found all of the employees to be extremely helpful. The local places to eat are incredible. Our family made a run to Ted's Bakery every morning for the two weeks that we were there. Additionally, there are tons of beaches stretched out near the resort. You can visit a different beach every day. The resort is clean and upscale, but also family-friendly. We were traveling with… read full review »

The Turtle Bay Resort is a wonderful escape for being on the busy island of Oahu. If you want the city experience or Nightlife experience, I would not stay here, stay in Waikiki but be careful of parking fees, they are outrageous...averages @ $3.50 per half hour. This resort was very secluded. Due to the 20ft waves in the area from Japan, the water is cold so be prepared but the beaches maybe had 15 people total and if you walk around, sometimes we never saw anyone. All the rooms excl. the suites are all the same size, the differences in price are the balconies, so if that doesn't matter,… read full review »

This was our second stay at the hotel. The rooms are larger than average and we kept our slider open 100% of the time that we were in the room, in order to enjoy the balmy wonderful tradewins. The view was superlative--a bay of rolling waves with a peninsula in the background. My first act of each day was to sit on the lanai and soak in the beauty. We visited Waikiki twice, but, for the money, I would much rather enjoy the slowed pace and beauty of the North Shore and VISIT Waikiki. We had our college-aged sons with us and they enjoyed the resort every bit as much as we did. They did… read full review »

The Turtle Bay Resort provides an unforgettable North Shore experience...The open air lobby with floor-to-ceiling bank of ocean blue view window is the first clue that this is going to be a very special stay... The deluxe ocean-front room was very comfortable and nicely appointed...The dressing area had plenty of closet space, a small refrigerator, large vanity and sink...The bathroom had a nice big tub/shower area and large vanity and second sink...The room was clean when we arrived and made up and cleaned on each day of our stay... There were many dining options available but we… read full review »

What a beautiful hotel. We loved our view from our room, it was spectacular and it felt very private because no other room could see into our room from their balconies. The Resort was quite expensive and we were surprised that a resort fee was attached to our final expenses. We found this especially surprising when we were charged for the use of all the resort facilities, such as the tennis racquets, volleyball equipment, and snorkel gear. The Resort Restuarants had very good food, but were quite pricy. We opted to eat at many fine eateries outside the Resort domain. We also liked the… read full review »

Our stay a the Turtle Bay Resort was perfect from the beginning to the end; from the great service at check-in to our final breakfast the day we left. Our balcony faced west so we had gorgeous sunsets every evening and the view from our room was breath taking. There are 3 swimming pools, one is quite large, and they were never crowded (I could swim laps whenever I wanted). The beaches are easily accessible and the bay even had sea turtles swimming around which gave snorkelers a real thrill. The property has a lot to offer in the way of golf, tennis, horseback riding, surf lessons, activities… read full review »

My friends and I recently visited Oahu. We decided we wanted to explore the North Shore and thought a night at the picturesque Turtle Bay Resort would fit the bill. We knew as we drove up the tree lined drive that this hotel was special. We emptied our luggage into the open air lobby and gave the valet our keys. We effortlessly checked in as a band played local music in the lobby. Upon entering our room I noticed the well appointed furnishings and pleasant green wall color. More omnipresent was the amazing view of the ocean and beach from our room. I immediately stepped onto the… read full review »

Upon arriving you can expect to be greeted by a very friendly and welcoming staff. Check in was completed in about 5 min and the bell staff was very helpful. We selected a ocean view room that was very spacious for the money paid with an excellent view of the beach area and the ocean. One of the most memorable things about our room on the ocean side was being able to leave the window open and close the beach doors and listen to the ocean waves all night. The grounds overall were excellent. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so I recommend having a rental care if you want to eat off of the… read full review »

Overall, I have good impressions, however from the critical aspect, the following are my comments: Positive: Nice location. It was interesting to be on the northest part of the island. Food was excellent. The hotel is located far away from traffic and night life and noise. Negative: Hotel is obviously older structure and the water pressure in the shower was very low. Although, non-smoking areas, we could smell smoke coming from another rooms which made it undesirable place to be. The rooms didn't have house-coats, which was supprising for the grade we had. As it was… read full review »

The Turtle Bay Resort was very spacious, situated in an absolutely stunning location, and staffed with wonderful people. The rooms are huge and the view from our room was addictive (I can't wait to get back. We had a view of the bay and the peninsula. All night we heard the waves crashing. We had the breakfast buffet each morning--made to order omelets, sticky buns, and fresh tropical fruit. One day, when I was headed to my room, I noticed that the maid was cleaning it. I stood outside in the hall, leaning on a window sill, reading my book. A young man, an employee of the resort,… read full review »

Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, HI, is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The grounds are well manicured, the staff is attentive and timely without being intrusive. The dining experience was excellent. Both room service and on site restaurants fare was fresh, seasoned well and presented in a lovely manner. The room was elegantly appointed in a modern way with hardwood floors, marble appointments in the bathroom, a stand alone shower and a tub fit for 3 large adults. This room is one of the cottages that comes complete with daily newspaper dropoff and a private concierge. My only issue… read full review »

Amazing location, friendly staff, very clean, wonderful pool and two beaches. Great to snorkle and just hang out. The big problem was the restaurants. All were overpriced with below average food. Once you get the lay of the land and find other places to eat outside of the hotel you are fine. Spa is ok, not as good as you would expect and the facials are basically just face massages, not even sure if the staff was certified to do real facials. Overall, the place gets a good vote due to the nice staff, the great location, and the pool and beaches. It is really all there is on the North… read full review »

Our stay at the Turtle Bay Resort was very nice. The view from our oceanfront room was fantastic, but the balcony is very small - just big enough for two chairs. We did not eat at the hotel as the restaurants are very expensive and there are lots of alternatives nearby (if you have a car). Eat at shrimp trucks for a no frills meal, or go into Haleiwa town and have great Thai food at Haleiwa Eats. The rooms are fine but not large or luxurious. Laundry areas with coin operated machines were a bonus. I dod not mind the $15 per day facilities fee, which covered parking, unlimited wireless… read full review »
