Most HelpfulBack in the day before we owned a computer, I once tried to do our taxes myself. What a joke! As if the endless forms, schedules, and page flipping was not bad enough, the tax verbiage was about enough to make me jump off a bridge.
So for years we took our taxes to our tax guy and for about $100,...

Most HelpfulThis is my first year using Turbo Tax On-line. My spouse and I decided to give Turbo Tax a try because we had heard some positive things.
I went on-line rather hesitantly because I am not in the least knowledgeable about taxes. But after answering a few simple questions, I quickly started the task of filing.
There is an option where one can file electronically with absolutely no fees imposed, and is great if you have a simple return.
Second option was to upgrade-with a fee of course. For an extra $29.95, we were able to file with an added benefit of of getting unlimited tax advice. Several...

1. Turbo Tax Online is user friendly. Even I, a former Social Worker, was not lost in the numbers.
Cons
1. We could not see the completed tax return until we paid.
2. There was some confusion when it looked like we were owed money -i.e.a screen showed that our tax bill was less this year than last year which was incorrect.
3. In the tax are where Turbo Tax keeps a running balance the print was red on a black background...
Turbo Tax Online has been the method of choice for filing taxes the past couple of years.
The step-by-step instructions walk you through each aspect of your taxes. All you have to do is show up and input the data Turbo Tax asks for.
Most of us can use the Turbo Tax Online tools and pay less than $40. We once used H&R Block and paid well over $100.
We found one drawback when downgrading service. It just takes a click of a button to upgrade your service (and pay more). But to downgrade, after realizing you didn't need the upgrade, you have to start from scratch. i was disappointed as I had...
I have been using TurboTax for 10 years and TurboTax online for about 8 years. It is so easy (and they have improved it) until I even completed taxes for friends and families over the years without any trouble. I like the product because you can simulaneously file federal and state taxes and, for my metropolitan city, I can fill out my local taxes as well. I anxiously wait for the latest version to load so that I can transfer my previous year information--another plus. The ability to save the forms electronically can not be substituted.
The most important thing is that you, the user, must be honest....
read full review »I love using Turbo Tax online edition. I've used it for the past four years and I wouldnt go anywhere else to have my taxes prepared. I have recommended to many friends and family members who also now feel the same way a me about this great website.
I am not really good with numbers and the questions they ask for tax preparation. But Turbo Tax makes filing your taxes a breeze. Instead of using "tax language" that may be hard to interept for some of us. They ask you questions that are very easy to understand. When you are entering your information off of your w2's they even tell you which number...
