TurboTax 2008 Deluxe Tax Preparation Software Review

I love turbo tax.  I have been using it for the past 10 years or so.  I have tried the basic, as well as the deluxe.  Since I have a home based business, and we have rental property the deluxe is better for us.  The audit protection is really a wonderful thing too. 

 I could never figure out depreciation--which catagory things went under and Turbo tax does it all for you.  The fact that you can import all of the previous years information and then edit as needed saves so much time  It also helps prevent clerical errors.  I would suggest you back up your taxes to a CD .  My computer crashed and if I did not have it backed up I would have lost all of last year.

 I have never tried the free basic on line Turbo tax but I know people who have and they say it is great. 

 I would recommend most people try Turbo tax.  It is well worth the money if you pay for it and if you want to use it for FREE you can go on line to use the basic.
