Must have!

I got my Tupperware quick chef a few years back just to make salsa. I can a lot of salsa in the summer and I figured that this would be awesome for chopping the tomatoes , onions, peppers and garlic. I was so right. I can chop enough veggie to make 24 pint size jars in about 15 minutes. I do not ever want to chop those vegetables by hand again. This small manual kitchen appliance is so easy to use that anyone could use it. I would say that the only bad thing is that when I chop a lot of juicy tomatoes and I open the quick chef to empty into the pan and start over with more sometimes it is hard to open the chopper. So now after I empty the tomatoes out I rinse out the chopper and then start over. I also want to say that the only thing I have never used this chopper for is to chop vegetables. Ease of Cleaning Super easy to clean. The blades are really sharp so just be careful. Durability I have had mine for about 5 years and it still works as good as the day I got it. My chopper gets a LOT of use and I have never even had to sharpen the blades.

Works good, now power required!

My Quick Chef came in my Tupperware welcome kit when I became a consultant. The first time I used it I fell in love. It was so easy to chop up bell peppers and onions for my spaghetti without having to pull out the huge food processor. I have also chopped strawberries, chicken and beef in the Quick Chef. I have used the whipping attachment once or twice and it did a great job as well. With all that being said, I have had it for about 7-8 years now and it is wearing down. The handle does not grip the spinning parts properly and it makes a really loud grinding sound. Mine is the older version of the Quick Chef so I am hoping to get one of the newer versions which have three blade edges instead of two which means better chopping capability. What I like most about the Quick Chef is that I don't have to plug it in. I can use it when the power is out. It also works well for some stress relief, just throw something in there and crank it as hard and fast as you can. It works. Ease of Cleaning Dishwasher safe! Durability My handle is wore out and won't grip properly but it still chops.

Best Food Processor Ever!

5

This handy-dandy gadget is a must for every kitchen. It doesn't take up nearly the storage space of a food processor and chops an entire head of cabbage in less than 15 minutes with very little effort on your part. The handle is very easy to turn and turns in both directions. It even chops carrots! It is a bit pricey but well worth what you pay for it in the quality that Tupperware offers. Because of the price, I hesitated buying it for quite some time but have never been sorry that I finally did invest in one. Since then, I 've bought one for each of my daughters and they are as pleased with theirs as I am with mine. Another problem you might run into is that you have to "go with" Tupperware's color-of-their-choice. Mine does not match at all with my color scheme, but it's a small price to pay. With luck, you could possible find a Tupperware Consultant that has stashed some of their other color selections. (An online auction site is another possibility). I am giving these suggestions to make it easy for you to hurry up, Be Quick, and get your very own Quick Chef! Ease of Cleaning This is the only problem I have with the Quick Chef. The ridges inside the chopper bowl make it very difficult to scrape food from it and get it clean. Please, never put it in your dishwasher. The bowl is top shelf okay, but if you don't take the rubber ring from it, it will shrink up. The colored top of it is where the mechanism is and is NOT dishwasher safe. Durability I've had mine for years and use it nearly every day. How much more durable can a piece of kitchen equipment get? Design As in the "Ease of Cleaning" section, my only problem with the design are the raised ridges inside the bowl.

I love my Quick Chef!

I love this product! I am a registered Consultant for Tupperware at the present time. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store! The gripper on the bottom helps prevent it from sliding while in use! I love it because my 5 year old niece can turn the handle and chop! Of course that is when my husband or brother (her dad) aren't taking it from her!! The blades are super sharp and chop up food quickly and efficiently! I have made salsa (dices onions in no time flat!), Strawberry ice cream, and Oreo Blizzards! (Just make sure you don't crush TOO many Oreos at once, that can get a little tricky!) The blades are easy to clean and I love how the whole top comes apart for easy cleanup! I really don't know how I survived before this was in my Kitchen because I use it that much now! Just make sure you do not put ice in this! The blades are not meant to handle ice! I love the fact that once revolution of the handle is equivalent to four spins of the blades!!

easy peasy

I recently attended a Tupperware party where the Tupperware sales lady used this handy dandy little thing as a demo. I knew I had to have it within the first few minutes. I am what some would call a LAZY cook and I am in love with this thing. so easy to chop and mix / blend everything. salsa in minutes. I would recommend to anyone from beginner cook with zero kitchen skills to an expert chef. it is fool proof and replaces the big counter space hogging other kitchen tools. also, you can't beat the fact that all of the parts and piecces are dishwasher safe. and of course Tupperware has a lifetime guarantee. what's not to love?

Perfect little tool for dicing up those onions!

5

When I need to dice up onions, tomatoes, or peppers this is my tool of choice. It just makes the job so much quicker, and in the case of the onions, so much less tear filled. I keep my Quick Chef in the box it came in, so I do have to assemble it every time I use it. This process is very fast and easy. When everything is set up I add the chunks of food that I want chopped (i.e. cut the onion in quarters). The rubber ring on the bottom helps to keep the Quick Chef in place while you turn the handle to dice the food. Literally a few spins (well under a minute) and your food is ready for the recipe. Cleaning this item is pretty quick as well. I usually hand wash it (it think this was recommended by Tupperware), but have put it in the dishwasher on occasion with good results. This item makes preparing a meal that much easier. Ease of Cleaning I typically hand wash this item, but have put it in the dishwasher with great results too. Durability I have had this item for about 8 years. It has held up really well!

Pretty pathetic chopper, but it's ok.

The first time I used this chopper, was to chop tomatoes for some fresh salsa I was making. I was not impressed with the results, It just mushed them all up, and it does not make little pieces. (but I like my stuff chopped very fine) so this is just my opinion. I however love using this chopper for thing that I don't want chopped as fine, it works great! It's just by far not my favorite chopper, and I don't think it's really worth the price! I loved their old style, but oh well. It's a good product just not my favorite! Ease of Cleaning Kind of a pain to clean, but it's fine. Any kitchen gadget is kinda a pain to clean :) Durability It's pretty durable Design I personally Like the old design much better but this design is fine.

The Tupperware Quick Chef is very convenient!

4

I've had my Tupperware brand Quick Chef for over six years and purchased it on sale when I was a Tupperware consultant. I have the very same one with all the original pieces since then, and it works and looks like new. Its a really convenient piece to have in the kitchen and I love it when I have to chop or mince stuff. It does it really, really easily and because its lidded, there isn't much of a mess at all! Its nice when I have a recipe that calls for chopped or minced onions!! LOL After all these years, I have not had a single problem with any piece breaking or no longer working. The blade is still very sharp. I will probably have this for at least another ten years before a single thing breaks or wears down, maybe longer! And I know that if/when that happens, I just have to contact a Tupperware consultant (I am no longer a rep) and if its not due to misuse or fault of my own, they should replace it free of charge. If they discontinue the item, I will get a credit towards another Tupperware item. Sounds great to me! The drawback, and I only thought of one, is that you may be able to lose pieces easily if you aren't keeping track of them.
