My sister recommended this to me years ago for mixing mashed potatoes. I was skeptical until I got one of my own. The lid comes in two parts. The outer part of the lid sits on the bowl and forms a protective barrier from splatter. If you want to mix cake batter, mashed potatoes, or anything else for that matter with a hand mixer, you can stick the beaters down into the center of the bowl and the outer seal keeps all the splatter from coming out and making a mess. If you are finished mixing and want to put the food in the refrigerator, just put the center part of the seal on and you are ready to go. It is great for mixing things in and not making a mess. I also like to use mine to hold cookies because the lid is very easy to get off and my children don't need my help getting it off or putting it back on. The handle makes it even better so you can get a good grip on the bowl while mixing or transporting. I would highly recommend this if you still use a hand mixer to help cut down on splatter.

I like this mixing/measuring bowl, but not as well as the older style! I was used to the older style, and when I got married I bought this one, and I do not not like it near as well as the older style! I hardly ever use it, and if I find a older one at a garage sale or somewhere used I will buy it! I don't like how the bottom is flat and it's harder to get the cracks and corners of the bowl clean with my wire wisk. Where as the older one is more rounded on the bottom and easier to stir your things. I do love the look of the bowl, and I love the fact that it comes with a lid to make storing leftovers ect. so easy and of course Tupperware always replaces it if it gets broke or something. I love tupperware, and that is one of the main reasons I like them, Tupperware is a great company! It's a good bowl but I don't think it's worth the money! But that is just my opinion! But I would say this mixing bowl is not one of their best products!

I find the Tupperware Prep Essentials Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher to be extremely average.  I use it, and it isn't a bad bowl, but I don't see it as anything special.  First the pros:  it has a handle and is easy to hold while you are mixing.  It has measurement markings on the side, it has a lid so you can store things in it without needing to cover with foil or plastic wrap.  It is a nice, convenient size.  I have found it washes up nicely in the dishwasher too.  Now what I do not like about it.  The measurement markings are very hard to see, so I rarely use them.  It is faster to measure in something else and dump in the bowl than squint and turn at different angles to try to read.  Like most Tupperware it is, in my opinion, overpriced for what it is.  So while a great idea and a fair product, I think that there are other options out there that are just as good and less expensive.  Not bad, just not great.

  am not sure how I acquired the **Tupperware Prep Essentials Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher but it is really cool and is probably my favorite mixing bowl. I like it because it is child friendly. the lid has a hole in the top so the kiddos can stir without splashing everywhere ok-moms too! it holds eight cups I believe. it is great for mixing and making pancakes. or you can make juice and then store it in the refrigerator. the lid is tight and I have not had a problem with it coming loose or undone. and of course the double lid is a plus! the Tupperware Prep Essentials Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher in the dishwasher safe and easy to use as a mixing bowl and storing bowl. i would recommend this Tupperware Prep Essentials Mix-N-Stor to anyone who was considering purchasing it. I know Tupperware is a bit expensive but do remember that Tupperware has a lifetime warranty. -one con is that the lettering/numbers are starting to wear off.  **

I bought the Tupperware Prep Essentials Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher two months ago, and I absolutely love it.  I have already used it over and over again.  It is sturdy and non-slip thanks to a rubber ring on the bottom.  It holds more than I thought it would, even a full cake or brownie mix.  It is dishwasher and microwave safe.  You can measure righ in the bowl if you are using liquids.  I love the lid.  I have mixed up things like cookie dough and pancake batter and stored it overnight or up to one week with the lid on top of the bowl.  It also makes it super easy to pour batter into a pan thanks to the handle and pour spout.  It is easy to use and convenient, and seems to eliminate the use of multiple bowls and measuring cups.  It is one of my new favorite gadgets in my kitchen, and I would highly recommed this to anyone or buy it for a gift.  It is useful and handy and has so many different uses.  It even makes it easy for my kids to help me mix things up.  Buy one and you won't be disappointed!

I love my Tupperware Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher!  The markings on the side make it quick and easy to add ingredients without dirtying other measuring cups. My favortite feature is the double lid!  I usually use a big stand mixer but when mixing up small boxed mixes I use a hand mixer and the Tupperware Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher is perfect for hand mixers!  I love the fact that the blue lid has a hole in it so you can mix but not splash the contents out of the bowl.  The second lid is great for covering the mixing hole for refrigerating the leftovers. While I use this bowl for mixing cake mixes, brownines, and other mixes my favorite use is pancake batter.  I can mix up a good size portion and just make a few pancakes in the morning pop the lid on and refrigerate till the next morning when I just pour our a little more batter, no need to dirty anything else on day 1 (or 3 or 4). The whole thing is dishwasher safe and of course being Tupperware it has their wonderful warrenty!

I love the convience of it being a measuring cup, container for mixing, and having the spatter lid.It helps to keep everything clean without splatters everywhere. And you can just put the whold thing into the fridge. Easy cleanup.

Tupperware's Prep Essentials Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher is a great item to have on hand or give as a gift to anyone on your list. Its two quart capacity makes it just right for cake batters, bisquits, etc.  It includes a removable splatter guard - you can use your handheld mixer with this, center seal - didn't use all the batter no worry store it in the container till ready, and an anti-skid ring on the bottom.  It has a pour spout so the batter come out neatly. With this you can make your batters ahead of time and store them in the frigde till ready to use.
