The Troy Bilt Riding Mower, 16 horse power, 42 inch blade, peddle drive with cruise control, mulcher and a Kohler motor has been the best for me. I was about to give up mowing because I could no longer get on and off the riding mowers I was using due to disabilities. Also I have to mow some gentle hills and was unable to mow them due to the pain I experienced after leaning this way and that. I was about to give it up then I bought the Troy Bilt. The tires are set wide apart making mowing hillsides a breeze. The tractor is very stable on slopes. Getting on and off no longer meant trying to ride...

Having this mower and using it less then 6 time in less then 3 months a safety (elec) inter-lock switch locks up. Getting the parts was OK put trying to get to the old unit was extremely difficult. I could not and would not recommend anyone to get one. Buy the less expensive brand they at least work as expected. My last one, a Yard-Man, lasted 6 years without a problem. Sold it in running condition when I decided to up-grade, or at least I though I was doing so.
