Tropic Thunder - Go See what the fuss is about!
I was already curious about the new flick by Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller and Jack Black when I started seeing interviews about the film's "controversial" nature.   ???   Surely people were not up in arms about a white man playing a black man......actors have been portraying the opposite sex, foreigners and other races for years.  It couldn't be THAT, could it?  

We arrived on time for the movie and got the shock of our lives, which turned into a big laugh on us.   GET THERE ON TIME, PEOPLE!    ;-)     That's all I can say about that without being a spoiler.   

And remember, when you start flinching, YOU HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED BY SOCIETY TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE IWTH HUMOR.  Tropic Thunder is a PARODY.  Parodies take no prisoners.   Everyone is fair game.   EVERYONE!   ;-D    

Downey Jr. is remarkable as a white Australian actor playing a black American soldier.  Kudos to him in this aural version of "Face-Off."   And a tip of the hat to Stiller and whatever ass-kicking trainer has had him in the gym.  The boy is lookin' good.

Ladies, the opening scenes are gory.  But you can close your eyes, push onward, and be rewarded with a hilarious movie.  

Anyone who's seen Apocalypse Now, Rambo, and a slew of other cult classics will pick up on nods to these famous flicks throughout this hilarious comedy.   The writers did a great job. 

The ticket price is worth it, just to see the nasty Executive Producer - played by a surprise cameo.    WOW, this was the funniest role I have seen in years.   You know who you are, and you ROCKED it!    ;-D
