A movie, though rated a comedic satire, advertised as being about re-enacting a bloody war in which pampered actors actually have to fight for their lives against modern day drug dealers ....
...but you complain there was "really bad language" and a "lot of gore" ....
Try checking out and understanding the ratings first before purchasing a ticket, if you don't like bad language and gore!!!!
Tropic Thunder's MPAA Rating clearly staters R for pervasive language including sexual references, violent content and drug material!!
To compare Star Wars to Tropic Thunder is like comparing Citizen Kane to Blazing Saddles. Review something according to its genre!
Also, there seems to be a pattern of calling something stupid (lacking intelligence) when one doesn't understand or like something.
If you actually HAVE seen Stiller and Black in other movies, you would have seen similar characters acting stupid in basically silly parodies- that doesn't mean the movie lacked intelligence!!
This was not a review, but all about you and your preferences!!
