Tropic Thunder —

I have to say that I enjoyed this movie. It wasn't one the the funniest movies of the year but overall it was a good movie. Sometimes I get disappointed with these silly comedies when the sillyness is over done but I wasn't disappointed. Ben Stiller was as funny as he usually is but after a while it's kind of the same "Ben Stiller" humor you've seen before but he still manages to pull off some very funny scenes. Jack Black was very funny as well being his usually animated self. He managed to pull off a couple shining comedic moments in the film but wasn't the standout comedian in this movie. I have to say that Robert Downey Jr. stole the show for me. He was hillarious. Staying in character for most of the movie and doing such a great job. Not being labeled as a "comedic" actor, he was the funniest one of the cast. If there were comedic "Oscars", it would be robbery if he didn't receive it. He was great and in my opinion, made the movie an "above average" film. Also, the comedic performance of another actor who also isn't really known as a "comedic" actor shines through as well. This is a surprise cameo so I won't spoil it but again, well worth the surprise. Overall a must see.
