Last October (2007), I bought an '07 Bonneville America from Erico Motorsports in Denver. I have put about 900 miles on it since, and I have to tell you that I love it.

The 07/08 Triumph lineup is sweet indeed. I ahve been wanting an America or Speedmaster for the past few years, and in October, when Triumph was doing their $1200 in accessories special, I called around and made myself a deal on a shiny new America.

The first thing I did to it was to remove the air injection and replace the pipes with a set that has a little more attitude. Off the showroom floor the America and Speedmaster bikes sound like sewing machines.

I also added the Triumph leather saddle bags, a tachometer, tinted flyscreen, Kuryakyn Grips, and the leather tank cover. It's a real head-turner everywhere it goes.

I am also enjoying the gas savings in this current economic environment. While the America isn't necessarily designed to get as good of mileage as some scooters can get, it does a decent ~35 MPG around the city and that's a bit better than double the mileage of my pickup, so I'll take it.

The best part though is riding it around town. Everywhere I go I get comments. I even got pulled over by a cop recently, just because he wanted a closer look at it.

I can't recommend it highly enough.
