I have used Trip Advisor as a research tool for about 4 years now. It's the first website I visit when I am planning a trip somewhere. The reviews are from "real" people and I have found most are very accurate. Some reviewers are travel writer "wanna be's" so you do have to take some of the reviews with a grain of salt. Trip Advisor provides reviews on hotels, restaurants and other information to most cities (world-wide). As soon as I think about going somewhere, I go to www.tripadvisor.com and type in the city and start reading the reviews. After you come back from your trip, you can log on and write your own reviews!
