I got this from our vet for our poodle, and so far she hasn't had any flea's, you do need to give with food, I gave it to my dog with a couple of treats and she threw it up within a half an hour, so give with food!! So far it seems great though Quality of Ingredients My dog seems fine with it, and she usually doesn't tolerate lots of different foods and stuff, but she took this easily. I also don't have to bathe her with flea shampoo or a collar Side Effects the vet said to take with a full stomach, but I gave her treats and then the pill and well she got sick and threw it up, so this is a must with food!!! She does scratch herself a lot but im not sure if it's a side effect from this.

We have an 8 pound Maltese and she only had a reaction to the first dose. I would have rated Trifexis a 10 had she not had the initial reaction. I made sure I gave her the medication with something to eat each time after that and she has been fine so far. I will admit the first dose scared me a little. She vomited and shook for a little bit. She also acted as if she could hardly walk. I called the vet and was told to give her the medicine with food in the future. She has been on Trifexis Heartworm and Flea treatment for a little over two years now and we have not seen fleas and her bloodwork comes back negative for worms with each visit. Our Maltese is an indoor dog but we walk her almost daily and she plays in the backyard with us regularly. We have bad Mosquitos at different times of the year here in the south but they seem to leave her alone with this medication. I like the cleanness of the pill and feel like it is safer than the liquid drops we had to put on her back. Those drops burned her and gave her continual side effects until we switched. We are happy with Trifexis.

I love that this product is multi-purpose since it is a 2 in 1 product. It kills fleas and worms the dogs too. And the single pill dose make it easy to give to the dogs. I am happy that it kills fleas and keeps them from staying on the dogs and out of my home and does heart worm prevention on them also. This is a wonderful product. I love it! I would definitely suggest any pet owner to try this product for themselves. Quality of Ingredients I have no complaints on the ingredients. They are very affective. I am happy that the product does what it says. It kills the fleas and with regular use, I have not seen any on the dogs or in my home and it prevents the dogs from getting heart worms. Side Effects I have not noticed any side effects in my dogs and they both use this product. I trust my vet's recommendation of this product and have seen it work on my dogs myself. I do not have a problem with fleas in the house or on my pets.

I have used this medication with my last two dogs. I love it because it does multiple things with one pill. Do not have the hassle of having to get the dogs to take multiple different pills. On the plus side also, it tastes good to them so they think it is a treat. Quality of Ingredients It contains the best ingredients to treat the dog and really works. I have had no ticks on any of my dogs within the past few years. Side Effects None of my dogs have experienced any side effects.

I was really happy when I found Trifexis, because it was convenient to have both protections put together in one monthly dose, and in a chewable at that. I also feel like it is an effective product, but my puppy experienced really bad side effects as she got older. Quality of Ingredients I'm rating the quality in the sense of effectiveness. When I had my puppy on Trifexis there was no issue with fleas (or heartworm as far as I was aware). Side Effects I have a (now) 13 month old Golden Retriever and had her on Trifexis until she was somewhere between 7-8 months. For some reason, once she went into the higher weight dosage, she started having very bad side effects each time I gave to her. Very upset stomach, vommiting and/or diarhea, and was just not herself for about 2-4 days EACH time. After it happened twice, I just couldn't give it to her anymore. Read online something about Trifexis Toxicity and it scared me enough to stay away. Found out recently that my sister-in-law's dog had the same reactions as mine did, and she also stopped giving.

I have not seen any living fleas on my dog since giving him Trifexis. It works very well. Usually with the topical flea treatments sometimes they work other times they don't. Trifexis also prevents heartworm and some intestinal parasites. I am surprised at how affordable this is! The only thing that bugs me is that I have to administer it like a pill after he has finished his meal. Even though it is chewable the smell is not appetizing to my dog. I always give him extra food after he takes it. Side Effects I have seen no side effects with my dog so far but I have heard about some dogs that have had problems.

My dog has been on this pill for more than a year now, and we've been very happy with the results. She has fleas when we took her into our home, and with medicine helped clear her up within days. It also keeps fleas off of her while she is in the yard. It's fairly inexpensive, too. We recommend it!
