The Trend Micro 2008 Edition: PC-cillin Internet Security Software is a must have for any computer. I recently bought a new laptop computer and was encouraged by the salesman to purchase this software to protect my computer. I didn't think I really needed it, but I caved and bought the software because it was reasonably priced. The software is easy to install and so easy to use. The software automatically checks for viruses and unsercure sites while you browse the web, so it does all the work and you just need to respond to alerts. It automatically updates to the latest version and really guards against those bad things on the internet. I love this software and have been very happy with it because it has protected my computer against a lot of viruses and cookies that I would not even look for....

I recommend PC-cillin Internet Security Software for anyone who wants cheap, secure virus protection. I had it recommended to me and so I tried it. Now I am supporting it and recommending it to anyone who uses a PC. Trend Micro is a stable company, that will stand behind its product. Don't get caught with your browser down and always be confident that your computer is virus free. I have not had any viruses since installing PC Cillin and I don't anticipate any viruses in the future. In addition, if John McCain even knew how to use a computer, I would even recommend this product to him as well although, I sort of want him to get a virus so maybe I wouldn't recomment this to him after all. Now, if Obama used a PC I certainly would recommend this to him because I wouldn't want him getting a virus....

this is the best program and very reasonable, I had norton for years and it slowed down my computer so much, this program updates daily against all the latest threasts and problem files are easy to remove, I am really sold on this product. i got a virus that disabled my sysstem with norton internet security after spendoing all that money, this adaily finds problem files and deals with them, it also asks your permission to download programs, warns you of dangerous sites etc...great...

Trend Micro is a brand I would recommend you remember when you are out shopping for a new anit-virus/spyware removal program. In the world of such programs, you have 2 names that really stand out.....Norton and McAfee. While these 2 programs are pretty good, there are a couple of things that really stand out...

1. I had Norton on my pc. I purchased Trend Micro on a friend's recommendation. I bought the step up from the one that is pictured (its 49.99, has anti spyware added and can be used on 3 pc's). Now I had just ran a scan with Norton when in installed Trend Micro. It picked up alot of stuff that Norton left behind! This program is VERY thorough. No trojan horse, adware or spyware gets past its defenses!

2. Norton and McAfee, even Webroot, use up alot of your computer's resources. You can easily see this when you boot your pc, it seems to take forever for your anti-virus and spyware to load! Well, these programs do not effect the boot up only. They slow down your cpu's speed overall.......

I used the free version of this software. It was for the 90-day trial. Everything went great in the beginning, but as soon as it became "familiar" with my computer and everyday usage, it started acting crazy. It would monitor the connections and let you know if you went to a good or bad site, but this would happen so frequently that it often interrupted my internet connections. And, to top that all off, it would freeze while it was in the middle of doing a scan. It ate up a lot of proceess memory and it messed with the registry of my computer. I guess, because it was the free version, it wasn't as good as it should've been, but I wouldn't recommend this software, unless, you rarely use your computer and you know each and every site you're going to visit....
